About this property
2 Bed Apartment, 5 Minutes Walk To Popular Surfing Beach and Croyde Village
Little Sandy Hollow is ideally situated in a central location for both the beach and the picturesque village of Croyde. It's location makes it ideal for days on the beach, with a peaceful setting for relaxing, finishing with an easy stroll to the village for meals out, ice creams or a take away from the many options in and around Croyde village. The sunsets can be stunning here, watching from the beach or the sand dunes or down the road at Downend Point, all are within easy walking distance. An evening stroll around Baggy Headland, National Trust, is a favourite of ours and many others. This can be as long or short as you want with plenty of seats for a rest to take in the fabulous views. There are certainly lots of options which make it easy to leave the car for the day.
This area of North Devon has so much to offer if you wish to have some days exploring the local area. From wide open beaches of Woolacombe and the rugged smaller beaches of the north coast to the open moor lands of Exmoor National Park and steep wooded valleys in and around Lynmouth and the Valley of the Rocks. There is certainly lots to explore both for the adults and children. It is a comfortable, well equipped and ideal location for both a family with young children or 2 adults.
It is a 2 floor self-contained annex with a separate private side access to the property, with key safe . Off street parking for 1 car is available in the front of the property. It is adjoined to the main property where we, the owners Malcolm&Gini live. We are often away on day trips, overnight visits to family in Bristol and Somerset or off to our allotment in the village. We are always easily contactable for advice if needed.
The accomadation comprises of:
2 bedrooms, sleeping 4 people, Please refer to photos
The larger double room for 2 adults has views across to the hills on the other side of the bay and velux window with blind.
The smaller second bedroom has one adult sized bunk beds, ideal for 2 children or 2 adults. This looks out to the front of the property. There is a black blind that can be temporarily fixed to the window for extra darkness at night.
1 upstairs shower room with Mira shower and toilet combined. There is a second shower room with toilet downstairs
The ground floor comprises of a fully equipped kitchen diner with open-plan living area looking out onto the rear garden and trees beyond. There are sliding patio doors opening out onto decking which looks out onto shared garden with main house. There are 2 steps from the decking down to the garden. Please refer to the photos on the listing. Guests have access to the garden and their own rear gate that opens out onto the lane to the beach. This gate can be locked. Outdoor seating and a table is available for use. Sun umbrella is available on request.
Board and bike storage in rear garden. Our rear outside tap is within easy access for washing off sandy feet, rinsing off wetsuits etc with hanging area available.
The property is close to the popular South West Coastal Path and 2 miles from part of the National Cycle Route 27 and various cycling routes in the local area including the popular Tarka Trail.
Locally, there is the Tuesday Croyde Market and the Sunday and Thursday Craft Market in the Croyde Village Centre.
