Peaceful cottage ideal for access to the Stackpole Estate and the Coastal Path
Situated beside a wooded glade at the edge of the small peaceful village of Stackpole, Pembrokeshire, Leyland House is a comfortable, stylishly furnished and decorated cottage. The lounge is cosy and welcoming and benefits from a log burner along with two 2-seater sofas and a smart TV. There are wooden floorboards throughout with a separate dining room (dining table seats 8) and a well equipped, modern kitchen (hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher). There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The cottage is tastefully decorated and has a welcoming atmosphere. There is a sheltered, decked courtyard for al fresco dining & a large detached garden which is reached via a private footpath. The cottage sleeps 4 & accommodates up to 2 dogs.
Stackpole village has an award winning foodie pub (The Stackpole Inn) with both bar, restaurant & beer garden. Dogs are welcomed in the bar and beer garden. The pub is approximately a three minute walk from the cottage.
The Stackpole Estate has 2000 acres (N.T.) of outstanding natural beauty, part SSSI and part National Nature Reserve & is a spectacular landscape and coastline rich in wildlife (otters, wildfowl, cliff nesting seabirds) with footpaths linking lakes, woods, cliffs, sand dunes and limestone grassland. The cottage is within 1 mile of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, Stackpole Quay, Barafundle Bay and Bosherston Lily Ponds. About the host
Hosted by Phil Jones

We have been visiting Stackpole for the last 25 years & have enjoyed many happy family holidays there, playing on the beach, walking through the woods & just generally enjoying the pleasures of rural life.
Why they chose this property
We really love this cottage & the surrounding area & have been visiting for the last 25 years (my husband is originally from this area and we have family locally). The village of stackpole is made all the more lovely by the Stackpole Inn (a traditional country pub which also serves stunning food & is Condé Nast recommended) & the surrounding Pembrokeshire countryside is stunning.
There are beautiful walks from the front door which take you across fields & woodland (well maintained tracks) directly to Barafundle Bay (approx 25 mins) & Bosherston Lily Ponds (approx 20 mins) and give easy access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
