This very well presented, original traditional dog friendly Cornish Cottage is just 100 meters flat strole from Porthallow's quiet beach and local pub (both dog friendly) and a short walk to Fat Apples café. Built in the 1920’s, Volnay has remained in local ownership. Named after the SS Volnay it retains many period features such ship wreck beams narrow doors and is an ideal base either to explore rural Lizard or stay in with your feet up with its unique living rock wall fire place. The cottage also adjoins a rural footpath yards from the front door which explores the local fields and woodlands (ideal for the first quick dog leg stretch in the morning). The very large and sunny organic seaward facing garden and orchard is boarded by gentle flowing streams interspersed with wild flowers, BBQ area and separate fire pit and bee hives. With plenty to explore in the local area for the whole family adventures and life time memories, life can be as busy as you make it. Porthallow has a quiet and sheltered pebble beach with rock pools to explore and magnificent views enjoyable all year round. The beach offers small boats and kayak/canoe launching facilities ideal for fishing and cove exploration. Pothallow is the official South West coastal path half way point and Volnay View is ideally situated for families to enjoy this living heritage. Volnay View has lots of enclosed off road parking (small trailers included) with easy access. There is also ample outside drying space for beach clothing, diving/fishing equipment. Other nearby attractions CADGWITH, COVERACK, and HELFORD
If the weather is good a fishing trip with the owner is must or even a ride in WW2 jeep and may be a historic trip along the coast in the boat to HELFORD or COVERACK for a crab sandwich. Pub drop off/picks can be arranged in the VW bay buttercup. The cottage is great but the adventure is everything.
See you Dreckly!
