Nice little cottage in central St. Ives. We very much enjoyed to stay there as it is well equipped and perfectly located for walking tours along the beautiful Cornwall coast. Thank you very much, Lisa.

Lovely cottage in great location
Lovely cottage in great location. Only 5-10 minutes walk to the harbour. Kitchen had everything we needed. Would highly recommend for 2-3 people.
The cottage is a short walk from the various beaches and shops of St Ives, so perfect for a short break in the town. The cottage is well equip and it's amazing how everything is fitting into the place. The only negative side is the lack of parking and having to stop on a double yellow to load/unload. It took us about an hour to find a parking space when we arrived, so plan ahead!

A lovely little miner's cottage. All amenities are here and its only a short walk to shops, cafés and beaches. Parking is a problem having only paid off site parking but a small problem considering the experience.
Would recommend this cottage to all
This small and perfectly located cottage is an excellent base for all of Cornwalls highlights, Minac, Newlyn ,St Michael Mount and is minutes walk away from the selection of stunning beaches, supermarkets and amazing cafés and restaurants.Cosy, compact and well equipped.Highly recommend!!
Very pretty terrace of houses, peaceful with a beautiful garden. Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues as any way you go, it’s up a steep hill. The cottage is small,
the stairs are steep and the upstairs is somewhat cramped. We had a lovely time in St Ives

I did not know you had mobility issues as all of Cornwall is very steep
I said to contact me with any issues
There is a bus that goes up and down from outside the cottage and a taxi is only£2.80
Lovely cottage close to all the amenities that St Ives has to offer. Just a 5 minute walk to the shops and 15 mins to the beaches.
Property is clean with a small garden where we BBQ’d one night. It’s a small cottage which was fine for four of us but probably too small for 4 adults.
Lisa the owner very communicative and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a lovely St Ives break!
As travelers from Australia, we decided on a self contained old worker's cottage as a change from the ordinary motels. We were not disappointed. Although small ( or compact ), the house came with the mod cons we required. Whether summer holidaying or like us, travelling about Cornwall, the house is central to beaches, shops, transport and restaurants and tourist spots.
We loved our trip to St Ives. The cottage was great for us, as a family of 3. I appreciated the location; on the outskirts of the centre, so you're close to everything but not sureounded by tourists all the time. The cottage is small, but enough space for the three of us and lovely to have some outside space to use. We dound the knives in the kitchen very blunt, which did make cooking a bit difficult, but that was our only minor complaint. Lisa was on hand with support when needed, which was much appreciated. Would certainly recommend to others.thatkitc
we had a very enjoyable time. the cottage is very snug and doesn't take long to warm up.. Very well decorated throughout perfect in size for a small young family. Also the housekeeper obviously takes a lot of care as it was very clean throughout .As mentioned you couldn't get a better location.
we wouldn't hesitate in going back there.

Disappointed!
From the description and photos of the cottage on Vrbo we guessed it was going to be a small cottage but not as small as it actually was!It definitely is only suitable for 2 adults and 2 small children at most! It was very clasutraphobic with 4 adults staying and no privacy when using the tiny bathroom (every sound made in bathroom can be heard throughout property!) The bedding and pillows were of a very poor quality as were the mattresses which were also stained. The 2 single bed frames were substandard too! The shower leaked into the lounge below if the power was up too high when showering. There should be a sign in the bathroom clearly stating that the shower shouldn't be put on full power! This issue was first mentioned by a guest in 2022 and it still hasn't been sorted!! Not good enough really! The garden needs to be tidied up a lot.Lovely neighbour at no 4 was very helpful and chatty. We feel that the price we paid for the 3 nights was very overpriced for what we got.

Well from the photos and description of the cottage you knew it would be small and with one bathroom
As all the fisherman’s cottages in st ives are small why did you book for 4 adults!!!
And you Even took 3 dogs without telling me or paying
Why oh why would you book a tiny cottage for 4 adults and 3 dogs no wonder claustrophobic…
As in my guide I sent you..shower powerful but cubicle small please have shower on medium as if on full power will leak..obviously you took no notice as the guest 3 years ago did same thing!!
Bed linen is from “next” and have never had a complaint before
Just make sure next time you book accommodation it accommodates how many people go

We would not have chosen this property but our original cottage was cancelled the day before due to boiler failure. This property was chosen as it accepted a dog. But there were some major problems that we informed the manager about. The kettle was split on the bottom and leaked water. The main tap in the kitchen would come off and splash water everywhere if we turned 2 taps on. The main bedroom had a king sized bed and so no room to get in and out. Lack of draw space. The shower leaked on to the room below every time it was used but no water came out on to the bathroom floor. The smaller bedroom had 2 beds but no room between the beds and sockets and switches were sited just above the pillow on one bed. We think it is overpriced but we were grateful for the stay so do NOT want this review to be public. Just for your information and hopefully manager can sort out some of the problems. She was helpful and responded quite quickly but these items above need addressing and soon. We have pictures
Cosy and charming cottage with lovely aspect over St Ives. Very well kitted out kitchen. Lovely garden for sitting out with a glass of wine amongst the vines!
My two young daughters and I spent a fabulous week in this pretty little cottage. I made use of the parking on offer; I was a bit of trek up the hill and pricey but worth it given the parking stress in the area, not sure what I would have done without it!
The cottage itself was very pretty with lots of lovely ornaments and pretty touches around the place. Basic provisions including, bread, milk, butter, tea, coffee were even provided.
The tiered garden was lovely for relaxing with a book and drink at the end of the day.
Communication with Lisa was excellent before and during the stay.
Would definitely recommend this place and Lisa as a host.
We are a family of 4 with a dog and had a great holiday in this cottage. The location is very central, close to all beaches and shops. It was clean and the owner was very helpful and attentive. The cottage is typical of St Ives in that it is small with low doorways and four adult-sized people is probably too many as storage space is limited, but for anyone else it’s a good base.

I live in Lichfield in Staffordshire, and grew up in Sutton Coldfield. I am a haidresser by profession and own a small Hairdressing Salon wich is located in Walmley,Sutton Coldfield. I have two children a boy and a girl, who have spent many holidays in St Ives, crabbing in the rock-pools and eating ice-creams. My love for St Ives has only increased as ive got older as to apprecite what a beautiful place it is,the light and the way the sea joins the sky, the changing colours of the sky and the changes in the sea each different season. I have visited St Ives so many times throughout different months of the year. The summer is lovely with the warm weather sitting outside The Sloop having a drink and chatting to holiday makers. The Spring with the heady spring air and the glistening of the sea.The Autumn,October is hazy and time for the dogs on the beach enjoying themselves.November is time to wrap up warm and walk the coastal path, then head to any of the pubs to eat before going back to the cottage to snuggle up beside the logburner. And then Christmas and New Year which is amazing.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with the cottage becuse it was so pretty and uniquecottage has a lovely 3 tiered garden with abundance if flowers and shrubs and because the garden is southernly facing it is great to sit in the sun and have a barbaque. The cottage is set on an off the road terrace along with another seven cottages, some painted lovely colours with beautiful gardens, the owners of the other cottages live there permantly and are really friendly and kind.
What makes this property unique
Where the cottage is situated is just a few minutes walk out of the town centre which means it is quite and peaceful away from all the crowds, yet only minutes away to the hustle and bustle. Again just a few minutes from Porthmeor Surfing Beach and the lovely Porthmeor Beach Cafe Bar. A few minutes th the Cinema and Kidz r us shows and the cobbled streets of st ives town with the shops restaurants and bars.
