Modern and spacious apartment with a fantastic view over the canals. A big spacious livingroom with design kitchen and bar. Ideal for couples or families (up to 4 people). 1 bedroom with double bed and a double sofabed in the living. In the middle of the center, but at a-relative-quiet spot. All major attractions, museums, things to do, to see, boutique shops, big department stores, flower market etc etc in a stones throw away.

One of the nicest VRBO properties and we have stayed in dozens.

Great location, clean, spacious. The kitchen is world class and the view of the canal is outstanding. The Italian restaurant next door is very good and the Indonesian restaurant at 494 Single is one of the best. Ingo the owner was very good. Loved this place and will be back.

A fantastic place!

Apartment just as pictured Pretty spectacular. Ingo was really welcoming. Living in such a great spot made us enjoy Amsterdam even more. Only suggestion , could use another set of keys for when I wanted to do something separately from my husband

Great location and lovely light filled apartment.

Very convenient. Located close to all the action on the first canal yet still nice and quiet. Surrounded by good restaurant options and close to several supermarkets. Has everything you need including a washer and drier. Large windows, high ceilings. Nicely decorated.

Nice apartment and fantastic location

The owner was very hospitable met has as we checked in and went over everything the best thing about this apartment is the location that’s location in Amsterdam you are within blocks of the nine streets shopping Restaurants everything is right sid restaurants everything is right Outside your door the apartment also has a great view of the canals and all the action my only complaint was the mattress was very uncomfortable but we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it to others

Loved the location and the view. We were disappointed that the photos show a nice stereo system and no mention that it is not operable. That was one of the reasons we booked. The kitchen is nice although we never used it except for breakfast. Paying definitely for the location and view. I’m sure there are less expensive places but this is very centrally located.

Hi Paula, Thank you for the nice review. The audio system is operatable and still is, but I've disconnected the big speakers... Since some visitors did play some loud music, the whole building almost collapsed ;-) Above that, I need to take my neighbours into account... It's an old building that passes on the bass tones to the other apartments... Boom-boom-boom, you know what I mean? So sorry for the disappointment, I didn't know you and your elderly parents did like loud music so much... ;-) Rock on!

Fabulous Apartment!!!

We just returned from Amsterdam and absolutely LOVED Ingo's flat. It is in an excellent location and done up perfectly. Amazing light and airy space with just the right personal touches. Ingo is a fabulous host and he was timely in all of his correspondence. He made us feel right at home and was available to ensure we were well situated with anything we needed. It could not have been more perfect - The pictures don't even do this apartment justice - Just incredible - We will be returning again and sure to stay at Ingo's place (if available!!)

Great apartment on the canal

This is a beautiful apartment in an excellent location overlooking the Singel canal. You don't tire of the view from the apartment whether it be day or night. The apartment is within walking distance of most of Amsterdam's attractions. For those who might not want to walk there are trams within 200 metres that take you to Central station in one direction or to the Art Galleries in the other. Very good cafe's, shops, restaurants, museums and markets are all close by. The lift in the building is a real boon with luggage. Ingo was an excellent host with booking, arrival and departure all made very easy.

"Terrific Apartment on the Singel Canal, Amsterdam"

To all who find themselves here scanning the review section, put your mind at ease as this is the real deal! Ingo & Marlies have a wonderful apartment in the perfect location in Centrum Amsterdam next to the Spui, 9 Streets, museums and all the "colourful" districts! Check off all your needs, super clean, all the amenities, really quiet, privacy, space, elevator, etc. etc. Must do's in early evenings, open the double widows overlooking the Singel Canal, pull up two chairs, turn on the sound system, putt your feet up and start watching the show. "Coffee Shop" on the right, pastry shop on the left and ten thousand bikes in between! Thank you Ingo, wonderful stay...next time we will make you sit there with us and drink that bottle of wine! Fantastic flat!

My husband and I (in our sixties) stayed at the flat for a week. It is in a light-filled canal house in a residential neighborhood that is within easy walking distance of tourist attractions but residential enough to be a quiet refuge. Tall windows in the living room allow a sweeping view of the Singel canal, with endless opportunities to watch passing canal boats, bicyclists, and pedestrians. The flat is tastefully decorated. The living area is comfortable and appealing. The bed is good quality, and there are more storage opportunities in the bedroom than short-term guests can possibly use. The kitchen, dining and living room areas are part of a long and wide single room that function as one airy space but also as separate, nicely defined areas. The kitchen is highly functional and well-equipped. Ingo provided prompt answers to questions about the flat, and was there to welcome us when we arrived.

Ingo’s home is wonderful: centrally located within walking distance of all major sights and a tram stop; in a lovely neighborhood offering an abundance of cafes, restaurants and shops; oversized windows that fill the home with light and provide a beautiful view of the Singel Canal; impeccably clean; attractively decorated; and a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Fantastic place!

This apartment was everything advertised with fantastic canal views, easy distance to sight seeing and restaurants. Owners were fantastic communicators. Check in was smooth and painless. Everything you could need was available in the flat. There was even a fabulous set of notes on how to use everything in the flat from the dishwasher, to the washer and dryer and notes on local grocery stores.

Beautiful views and great location!

Ingo was a very helpful host and his loft was gorgeous. It was central to everything and we loved sitting in the living room watching the world pass by on the canals. The space was everything we could have hoped for!

Wonderful apartment. Great location.

Apartment was as posted/pictured. Kitchen was tremendous. (My wife wants one just like it!) Location was great, right on the first (Singel) canal. We could walk to almost all of the major Amsterdam attractions (Rikksmuseum, Anne Frank house, flower market, etc.). I recommend this apartment to other travelers staying week or more in Amsterdam.)

Very Nice Amsterdam Apartment in Outstanding Location

My partner and I spent a week over the 2018 New Year holiday in this very nice Amsterdam apartment. It is located at a bend on one of the famous ring canals with a beautiful view looking directly over the canal as well as up the canal from the bend. A "wall of windows" looking out over the canal and city create a feeling of openness within the main area (kitchen/dining/living space) of the apartment. The location is outstanding and we were able to walk to every place of interest in Amsterdam from the apartment. In addition, we were able to buy everything we needed in terms of food, supplies, etc. at a market just a couple blocks from the apartment. The owner, Ingo, met us at check-in, providing a nice overview of pretty much everything we needed to know about the unit. He was also very responsive to a couple needs that arose after we had settled in. The apartment is very well equipped with respect to everyday needs. My partner and I have traveled extensively in Europe and have rented several apartments/homes via HomeAway. We have generally found that the units track pretty closely to the pictures and other descriptive information on the respective websites. This apartment is no exception in this regard and may even appear a little nicer in person than on the website. We would highly recommend it for future parties of two people.

Perfect Location, lovely apartment ❤️

This apartment is in a perfect location for walking to anywhere in Amsterdam central, canal view is excellent and kitchen is very well equipped. Would definitely recommend.

Canal comfort with amazing views and location

We loved our choice in Ingo’s lovely canal house. The accommodations are spot on helping to create the feeling that you are truly living in Amsterdam and not just visiting. Views! 5 bridges cross the canal in front of the windows. This is a corner unit so you get multiple angles from the kitchen and living. Across the canal is Spui, you are two short blocks from Leidsestraat, the blooming market and a large Albert Hjein grocery. We can highly recommend this one!
