There is metered parking both on and around Gayfield Square which is payable between the hours of 8.30 am and 5.30 pm Mon-Fri. Outwith these hours and all weekend parking is FREE (except for resident permit only spaces). Public transport is also on the doorstep with bus stops at the top of Gayfield Square Allowing you to travel easily throughout the city. There is a tram stop (for journeys to and from airport very convenient!) a few minutes' walk away on York Place and finally Waverley Train station is a mere 9 minute walk besides Princes Street.. Very reasonable taxi fares including Uber are also readily available.

We were in Edinburgh for about a week for our son's wedding and a bit of sightseeing. We were very pleased with this flat. It is a short walk from Carlton Hill and within a half-mile of Waverly Station and The Mile. Near bus and tram lines, once learned make travel even easier.
We'd do it again!
From start to finish, this has been one of our best VRBO experiences.
Corinna’s communication was timely, thorough & helpful before, during & after our stay. The little extras in the flat (e.g., treats, snacks, toiletries….) were greatly appreciated & a nice surprise.
I usually come into stays prepared to clean surfaces & floors, but this flat was properly cleaned, maintained & well appointed. It’s always appreciated to have enough dish soap, loo roll, kitchen roll, clean dishwashing sponges, etc… So wonderful all around.
The location is absolutely fantastic! Surprisingly quiet for the urban setting - conveniently close to a couple great bookstores, a wide variety of cafes, transit lines, Calton Hill (we recommend the walk up), and everything you’d want to see/do in the city centre.
The availability of an elevator is a plus if you’re burdened with lots of luggage.
This is a 10 ⭐️ rating on a 5 ⭐️ scale. Highly recommended!

I visited Edinburgh to participate in The Moonwalk. I decided to participate in the Moonwalk because it was for Breast Cancer. My mother is a cancer survivor. The event is held in several locations. Edinburgh was selected because it was on my bucket list.

The property had great Vrbo reviews. The location was prime. The pictures were very nice. The owner responded promptly to my request. I was able to secure the property with only a glitch on my end.
The owner communicates well. The apartment pictures are very accurate. They just don't capture all the wonderful nuances. It is a truly lovely well appointed property. There are thoughtful touches, including a welcome basket with great information. The community is easily accessible by public transportation. Shops, restaurants and several historic landmarks are within walking distance.
I highly recommend this property. It was a stellar experience.

Comfortable Convenient Elegance
We could not have been more pleased with this lovely flat in such a great location away from the Easter weekend crowd, yet a short walk to everything on the list to see. And also close to some really delicious local restaurants a bit off the beaten path. The owner thought of everything—even Easter chocolates. We would not even look at other options if we are fortunate enough to return to this beautiful city.

A gorgeous flat conveniently located in a quiet area. Lovely!
We were very pleased with our stay and definitely recommend it to others. The kitchen had everything we needed (espresso machine was a bonus!), bedrooms were comfortable and the bathroom fixtures were very nice with very strong water pressure. We particularly appreciated the elevator since we had some heavy bags. It is on all the main bus lines including the Majestic tour bus, but also only a short walk to Princes street. Overall a fantastic stay!

Beautiful flat! Great location! Quiet!
The decor is perfect, the kitchen and bathroom very modern. Great sized TV, comfy beds couches and free wi-fi. . The location is next to wonderful dining options, and 5 minute walk from Edinburgh Playhouse. I'd stay there again if available on my next trip:) I'm giving it 5 stars, though there were minor things that could be improved, namely a noisy toilet upon refill and a bathroom faucet that splashes out at you:) But these minor issues would not stop me from going back.

Fabulous Apartment!
This is one of the best VRBO's we have ever stayed in. The apartment is top-notch with beautiful flooring, luxury bathroom, comfortable beds, spacious living room and everything in the kitchen you could want. It was easy to access on a quiet garden square and a perfect location to walk to all the sights and train station. Corinna is kind and friendly and always available for questions. She welcomed us with a bottle of wine, fresh milk and coffee. You will love this flat!

This place was elegant, comfortable and well kept. Definitely felt like a home away from home.
The location was fabulous. It was within walking distance to the trolley, bus and train stations. Close to many conveniences like grocery store, cafes, restaurants, shopping and Starbucks. The police station was close by as well. It was a peaceful and safe location. We enjoyed the break from the hustle and bustle of the tourists each night. The apartment was beautiful and spacious. The place was very clean with modern appliances. While we did not cook, we took advantage of the washer and dishwasher. Our host was generous in leaving us the amenities you would expect from a hotel along with a few other treats. We would highly recommend this place to stay and hope to be able to get back to stay there again!

I bought this beautiful apartment two years ago as it is perfectly placed for exploring everything Edinburgh has to offer yet it's quiet cul-de sac location gives it an almost village feel away from the hustle bustle. There are only two units on each floor which adds to the serene feel of the apartment Yet a few minutes walk takes you right into the heart of the action be it for shopping or sightseeing or indeed the theatre as Edinburgh Playhouse is literally a stone throw away from the apartment.
What makes this property unique
Lift access is a definite bonus of the property as well as easy on- street parking (metered during business hours only Mon- Fri - apart from that free!). The apartment is professionally decorated and has the added bonus of a brand new luxury bathroom which was installed recently.
