We had a lovely time here. There are many nearby places to hike and swim. The house is very nice, and the three season porch with a big fireplace is just perfect. Our kids loved running around in the yard as well. Excellent place to spend a few days!
This property was beautiful and so clean. The listing was very accurate, in fact it was even nicer in person! We love to cook, and the kitchen had everything we need. We look forward to our next stay here!
We stayed in this comfortable home for close to 3 weeks. It’s in a beautiful setting in the country. The floor plan is well designed, given the age of the house. Several additions and nice upgrades over the years has made it quite functional with the most recent outdoor screened fireplace room a 5 star addition! We much preferred the new fireplace to the one in the living room, which seemed to be a bit more smoky when using. The owners are generous to provide plenty of firewood.
More specifics: Master bedroom w/Q & bath (tub/shower) on the main level. Two bedrooms and a loft-like area for sleeping and a bathroom (w/shower stall) on the second level. A convenient 1/2 bath is off the living room.
The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, & a large pantry for storage. These owners truly open their home and share such things as spices and condiments. The coffee maker was not a brand we were familiar with (Mocca Master Coffee Maker) but quickly learned that it makes a very good cup of coffee. Instructions are provided.
The Wi-Fi Internet worked perfectly for us. We could stream on the TV without a problem as we carry our own Roku and had no issues working on our laptops. (We were not able to figure out how to use the sound system.)
The rear patio outdoors is a great place to sit gazing at the field and barns. Deer pass through the fields on a regular basis.
Pros: Location. Excellent kitchen. Fireplaces and wood available. Exceptional lighting installed in most rooms. Plenty of hot water. Mattresses & sheets are comfortable and there are plenty of towels. W/D available.
Cons: (this is minor and our own preference) We prefer window coverings for use at night for privacy. Bedrooms have curtains.
This was our first stay at a VRBO property.
We found the experience outstanding.
The property exceeded our expectations.
Everything was perfect.
We highly recommend this property.
We stayed for our son’s graduation weekend from Salisbury School. We were so happy with the lovely home. Deb, the owner contacted us directly and provided great information for our stay. Checking in/out was a breeze. The home is spacious and well equipped. The property is so peaceful. My only regret is that we just discovered this gem.
We had a great stay! The home is a beautifully renovated farmhouse with all the modern amenities and a well equipped kitchen. The location is great, close to nearby towns as well as to hiking and biking trails. We enjoyed staying in and relaxing in the cozy living room as much as going out to explore the beautiful surrounding rural areas.
I grew up in the area and the house is in a great location and typifies the best of the area. Loved it

Idyllic Weekend Getaway
My husband and I and our two daughters (ages 7 and 11) stayed in this beautiful home over Presidents Day weekend. We have rented in this area a number of times with mixed results - but this home far exceeded our expectations. It is meticulously designed and constructed, from the beautiful fixtures and lighting to the high end appliances to the light filled living room and gorgeous furnishings. And yet, it was entirely comfortable and relaxing, designed to invite you to exhale and curl up on the ample sofa with a good book. Because it was such a beautiful environment, we were just as inclined to nestle indoors by the fire and play games as we were to explore the charming towns nearby. To say it was well equipped is an understatement. Everything we could have possibly wanted or needed was there. Debra was a pleasure to interact with and she provided thoughtfully detailed ideas about things to do as well as restaurants and pick up groceries, etc. in the area. We literally could not have been happier with our stay.

Perfect stay
Dear Debra,
Wanted to take a few moments to thank you for sharing your delightful home with us. Cozy, inviting and very comfortable only begins to describe how we feel about our week in Lakeville. We were able to spend our days enjoying the beauty of the panoramic views while hiking and walking through the beautiful private roads. And there was no lack of superb restaurants all within a short drive to satisfy our need for sustenance. The family consensus is ""let's come back here in the summer".

Delightfully charming rustic home with sophisticated amenities!
This is a perfect getaway location for a family or couple looking to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the rural surroundings. With an ideal blend of scale and details, this homes offers a great layout. Excellent fully equipped kitchen with a Viking stove, Bosch dishwasher etc. facilitate wonderful meals for family and friends. Bedrooms and full bath with a sitting area for family or friends are separated upstairs while the master suite is downstairs. The large double height family room with wood burning fireplace opening on to outdoor patio with views of rolling hills was a favorite! Great local activities, restaurants and shopping abound with the added benefit of NY and MA. being easily accessible. The owners are gracious, and accommodating, thinking of things in advance to assure a holiday visit to remember. Will definitely look to return to this turn key home when visiting the area again!
