A villa with every amenity possible that completed a full remodel in 2020, including a large swimming pool, swim up bar, baja shelf with loungers and umbrella, entertainer's bbq & grill, outdoor bar, outdoor dining table, 2 outdoor showers, romantic outdoor bathtub, 3 outdoor lounge areas, 12 seat spa, 4 hole putting green, day bed swing, ping pong and pool table, 50" LCD TVs in almost every room (75" in living room), 2 fire pits, Amazon Alexa and Lutron Smart Lighting system, washer, dryer, & more!
This Mid-Century modern compound is located in the city of Palm Springs at the end of a quiet and safe cul-de-sac street with breathtaking mountain views and completely surrounded by a privacy wall. If you enjoy the nightlife we are located 2 miles and a 5 minute drive from downtown Palm Springs - a quick ride to shopping, restaurants, nightlife, and casinos. There is no shortage of restaurants, bars, and entertainment throughout the year. Take the famous Palm Springs Aerial Tramway (5 minutes away) to the top of the San Jacinto Mountains to experience dinner, hiking, and a view that will last a lifetime! OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
Remodel:
We completed a major, six figure remodel in 2020 and the house is brand new (new beds, bedding, sheets, towels, pool deck surfacing, new kitchen, appliances, landscaping, roof, solar, pool UV light BIOSHIELD sanitizer that kills bacteria mold and other harmful organic compounds and uses 98% less chlorine to keep the pool and jacuzzi water perfectly clean). We have two brand new AC/ HVAC unit that has a HEPA Merv 13 filter on it plus a UV Light sanitation module that the air in the house passes through several times per hour. This helps sanitize for airborne viruses, mold, bacteria, and dust mites.
Pool and jacuzzi heat:
There is an optional $80 daily charge to heat the pool and jacuzzi (one heater so its either heating both the pool and jacuzzi or it is off) which is below our cost of $100/ day from Southern California Edison. We highly recommend this from October through June. The pool and spa can't be heated at the same time, regardless of which heating method is used. When the jacuzzi is turned on the pool heat turns off. When the 3 hour timer on the jacuzzi heat switches off the pool resumes heating automatically to maintain temperature. Most guest prefer the pool between 84F and 86F and the jacuzzi between 100F and 102F.
Mid stay cleaning service:
Optional daily turndown service is an extra $225/ day, includes doing the dishes, washing the regular and pool towels, cleaning the kitchen, tidying up the inside and outside, and cleaning the bathrooms.
Wheelchair accessibility:
The house provides a good level of wheelchair accessibility. The front door, garage door into house, and sliding glass doors to the rear yard are flush with grade and the house is single story. The shower in the King Suite Bedroom is roll-in capable and has hand-held showers heads. There are two small seat in this shower as well, however, the house is not equipped with grab bars at toilets and showers, and the kitchen does not have an adjustable height work station. The pool does not have a lift.
Taxes:
PLEASE NOTE PALM SPRINGS TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY TAX: Palm Springs requires all vacation rental owners to collect 12.5% transient occupancy tax on all short term rentals less than 28 days in length. This tax is in addition to the rental fee. You will see this as the line item "Transient Occupancy Tax" in the breakdown of your booking fees.
Parking:
2 car garage and driveway can fit 3 additional cars. Complimentary Tesla and Rivian charging in the garage with fast chargers.
Security:
The front of the house has a Ring doorbell camera and Ring camera for added security. There is also an ADT alarm camera on the front gate as part of the house alarm system. For your privacy, no other cameras are on the premises.
Pets:
On occasion we accept well behaved and potty trained dogs. Please inquire about the pet rules first.
Owners use:
The projector and drop down screen in Living Area are for owner use. Also, there is a locked closet in the laundry area for cleaning supplies.
