Fabulous Stay from Beginning to End!

This cottage in Rye is absolutely lovely! Every last detail has been considered, its location is amazing but most of all , the host was so helpful, sharing ideas for places to eat, visit and park the car this really made such a difference!

Very cute and cozy cottage for a girls weekend! The private outdoor space was great and the kitchen well equipped. Generous sized bedrooms with plenty of natural light and fresh bright towels and bedding. Easy check in and great recommendations and communication from our host. Great base to explore Rye and surrounding area or relax and enjoy some down time inside with books, games and TV.

What beautiful accommodation

This is a very special place to stay. The decor and furnishing is of a very high standard and Andrea the host has provided a standard of accommodation which would match a 5 star hotel. The furnishing was luxurious and very tasteful. We will definitely return.

Perfect weekend getaway

The cottage was perfect in every sense. A real home from home. Andrea was there to greet on arrival and had so thoughtfully left enough provisions for breakfast the following morning. The cottage definitely made the weekend in Rye, it was clean centrally located just a treat!

A wonderful place to stay.

The cottage provides a very high standard of accommodation. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay very enjoyable. We loved the small romantic garden which has subtle lighting in the evening. This is our second stay here and many other guests have also repeated their bookings and I can see why. Thank you Andrea and husband for providing such a beautiful cottage to stay in.

Fabulous rental - kitchen had everything needed plus - all rooms were nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. Small courtyard was charming with lovely plants. Wonderful book of instructions was provided along with all info needed for appliances. Host really has thought of everything for an enjoyable stay. Couldn’t be more perfect!

We (myself, my partner, and my parents) had a delightful stay in this gem of a holiday property in the middle of Rye. Every part of the property had been really well thought through and it was beautifully decorated, well equipped and exceptionally comfortable. Our host Andrea was very helpful at all stages and provided lots of useful information that helped make our stay even better. We wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a stay in beautifulRye! We loved every minute of stay in Rye at The Mint

We had a wonderful stay at The Mint in Rye. Everything more than met expectations, from the lovely décor, comfy beds, and goodies in the kitchen, to the location and charm of the house itself and the village. Very highly recommend! And just a note for other U.S. travelers who might like a break from driving or are opting not to rent a car, the bus and train station is only a short walk away. We found it both easy and fun to get out to the harbor and over to Hastings by bus and train.

Superb in every way.

We took my elderly Mother away for the weekend and stayed in this property. It is wonderful, immaculate, well equiped, comfortable and close to everything. Andrea is a lovely lady who goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect, thank you Andrea. Will definately recommend.

Definitely a 5 Star stay

Staying here you can tell the owner wants you to have a nice stay and she takes pride in that and the property. I am with all the reviewers who would like to return to the cottage. Who wouldn’t? Located within 5 minutes of anywhere on foot in Rye you have a nice comfortable, clean and spacious retreat with all you need provided. Rye is great too. It’s got historical interest, individual shops and great places to eat. The Standard, Marco’s and the Fig take some beating. Thankyou Andrea

Gorgeous cottage!

This is our second stay here and we will certainly be back for our third! The decor is so lovely, the beds are so comfortable, and all the goodies for guests to use are really welcome. We had brilliant weather and it was lovely to sit out in the courtyard and smell the lavender and honeysuckle! Yes,there is no parking but we didn't find it a problem at all! Andrea is a great host and really communicative. Location is perfect as there are so many lovely cafes, restaurants and pubs to choose from to dine or just have a drink! This is a cottage to return to again and again!

Great little cottage

Andrea was wonderful and helpful from the moment we contacted her. My wife, daughter and I stayed for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The 3 story cottage is located in the hart of the village of Rye. Walking distance from just about everything. There is a kitchen with everything you would need form cooking to laundry. The cottage is clean and beautifully decorated. Both bathrooms are roomy with a nice shower and beautiful bathtub. There is a little patio in he back perfect for morning coffee to afternoon tea. Highly recommend staying here during your visit to Rye.

Adorable cottage

Cosy, clean and comfortable, decorated and furnished to a very good standard that makes you feel happy to be there, even the outside space has had thought put into it and you could actually use it, it was cleaned to the same standard as inside the cottage with no evidence of a seagull having left a present, the cottage is well thought out and clearly by someone who is thinking about how to make your stay as pleasant as possible, shower is a dream to use and spacious, kitchen well laid out with good quality everything, beds comfy and warm, the cottage is ideally placed for everything, restaurants a number of good ones literally a couple of minutes walk yet the cottage is pretty quiet, shops galore, historical buildings, the river and lovely views, lots of car parks I did book one behind the Regent with justpark that was mine for the week less than a five min walk away, Rye is adorable with very friendly locals, and a great base for exploring the surrounding area, we took a walk to Camber castle, went to Hastings old town and clifftop walk, Bodiam castle is well worth the short trip to get there then get the steam train to Tenterden for more great shops, Beckley and waterfall woods for the nature lovers, sat and watched the tide come in on whinchelsea beach, amongst many other things we managed to cram into our week but each day we came back to the very relaxing 51 the Mint cottage and were so grateful we had found this adorable cottage, I highly recommend the cottage and its owners and would defo book this one again next time I go to Rye.

Lovely cottage in central Rye

This house is surprising - much bigger inside than it looks from the outside. It was superbly equipped (best equipped kitchen of all the many houses we have stayed in). It was lovely to find tea and coffee, bread, butter, marmalade, milk and some sweet treats left for us so we didnt need to go shopping as soon as we arrived. Also oil, vinegar etc. Very helpful. The beds were very comfortable, the shower room and ensuite lovely, the sitting room cosy and the wifi reliable. The decor was relaxing and attractive. Some lovely books were in the house and clear instructions about how to work things, suggestions of places to eat etc (all good!) It was a fabulous home from home for a few days. I really cant think of a thing to criticise about this lovely house. The only issue for some might be that parking is not adjacent to the house, as it is a central cottage, and the narrowness of the road means you cant even stop briefly outside to load a car. We were fortunate to be able to park at the nearest car park throughout our stay, but I wonder if this could be a difficulty in the summer season? Could be tricky for the infirm. Also quite a cost for a longer stay. Andrea thoughtfully made contact to check we had arrived and everythjng was OK. Thank you for such a wonderful welcome.

Cottage in the Heart of Rye

The Place in Rye is a lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Spotlessly clean and a real pleasure to be in, the Hosts have thought of everything to make your stay warm and cosy! Being in Rye, there are many places to either have a casual drink or full meal to suit many tastes, not to mention places for a leisurely breakfast or afternoon cream tea!! Can't wait to go back!!

The Perfect Place in Rye
