Self contained flat spread over two floors, a warm & welcoming home from home. Steps lead down from street level to the front door of this self contained basement/garden flat.
In an exclusive area of New Town, in the heart of Stockbridge, with the Botanical Gardens, Inverleith Park, Dean Village, the Waters of Leith & Princes Street all within easy walking distance. Sunday sees the Stockbridge market arrive with a feast of street food & local produce stalls. There is no shortage of vintage shops, and unique boutiques for that bespoke gift. There are restaurants & cafes to suit all tastes, with plenty of choice for vegans & people who are intolerant to certain ingredients. Also a great selection of bars that suit all tastes.
Close by there is designer shopping in the exclusive Multrees Walk, St. James Quarter and St Andrews Square area. Not far from here is the Playhouse Theatre & the Omni Theatre, with cinema & plenty of eateries. Down the road from there is the Broughton Road area, again with a great selection of restaurants, giftshops, bars & bistros.
It would take on average 10 to 15 minutes to walk up to Princes Street, however, if preferred there is a bus-stop right around the corner. The tram-stop is approx. 10 to 15 minutes walk away.
There is a great mix of hustle & bustle, yet greenery & nature right on our doorstep. Beautiful areas suitable for leisurely strolls or picturesque jogs around Dean Village, the Waters of Leith and the fantastic Inverleith Park which has an alternative viewpoint of the castle.
Unusually for Edinburgh city flats, there is a private front courtyard & a private back garden, exclusive to this property. Steps lead from the back door to the back garden.
There are two bedrooms, one double & one with twin beds. There is a beautiful freestanding bath & sink in the double bedroom which is downstairs. Additionally there is a separate shower room with toilet & a separate WC. Just what you need if there are a few staying over!

There is a bluetooth speaker & plenty of USB Sockets so no heavy plugs to take with you, just the wires. There is WIFI throughout, plus a WIFI booster, and a Smart TV which will allow you to access Netflix, Prime etc.

Excellent property, Dana let us leave our luggage early on the day we arrived which was a real bonus. Easy walk into town, lots of eating places nearby, the Pantry just round the corner was ideal for breakfast. Would highly recommend.
Great stay! Enough room for the family and really appreciated the second half bath. Quiet and comfortable, and we very much appreciated the thoughtful touches of juice/milk/cookies upon arrival! The location was well within walking distance of all the sights we went to visit. Our host was attentive and made sure our stay was perfect!

Wonderful apartment close to the Botanical Gardens, buses, great food and shops.
My husband and young adult sons stayed in this property and it was their favorite vrbo of their whole vacation. The property was lovely and in a quiet location; Dana was very communicative and helpful. Hopefully I get to go next time!

Very convenient, and well appointed. I'd stay there again for sure. Stockbridge is a perfect quiet and cozy spot in busy Edinburgh, and the property basically sits on a bus line-- couldn't be easier!
We loved our stay in Stockbridge! Such a great central location to see everything but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Dana’s place was very comfortable and spacious. It’s obvious that much love and care went into making this a special home away from home. We were sad to leave and hope to one day return and stay at Dana’s place again!

Greet location, spacious and clean.
My wife and I had a great time at this flat. It was just the two of us so walking to the main sites was not an issue. Also lots of shops and restaurants close by to the flat. Great spot, would stay again without a doubt.

This flat was a great choice for our family of four. The location was perfect -- close to everything, but quiet in the evenings to relax. Incredibly clean upon arrival, the host provided helpful information to make our stay comfortable. Could not have asked for anything more!
It was a great location and not too far to walk to restaurants. You will have to walk down stairs to get in the unit, so if you have mobility issues, please be aware.

Loved staying in this lovely flat in a great neighborhood. It was immaculate and had everything we needed. We did have a few issues with the appliances, but Dana was lovely and is likely taking care of everything for her next guests! We enjoyed our visit!

Turns out previous guests (not sure which ones) had turned off the water tap under the sink so the dishwasher wasn’t being supplied with water. All sorted now. They also managed to tear the washing machine door seal 😩 so a new one is ordered. So sorry this affected your stay in my apartment.
