We absolutely loved this stay! So close the everything. A stones throw from the Mercato Centrale, and a short 7ish minute walk from the train station. It's an internal apartment that faces the courtyard - so it was very quiet and is blocked from the sun in the evening. We stayed for 2 months, Gabriel was such a great host. We did pay for electricity because it was such a long stay, but for 2 months in the heat of the summer, it was not bad at all (75), most days it was cool enough to not even need the AC (even on warm days). If we come back, we'd try this stay again!

Wonderful stay at Sant'Orsola in Florence

Had made arrangements far in advance of a month long arrival in Florence at the Sant’Orsola Apartment and was not disappointed. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and well-equipped and the apartment owner, Gabriele Bonucci, was very accommodating. Gabriel met us the afternoon of our arrival at the apartment and showed us the workings of the apartment and also provided us with a thorough resource book in the apartment to use as needed during our visit. The apartment was very centrally located and was within proximity to most everything we had on our to-do list. The apartment also ended up being very near to the Central Market, which was a great help at times with food purchases during our month in Florence. In addition, Gabriele had connected us with the nearby Florence Concierge office just up the street and the two women in the office were a great help many times during our stay, including with assisting with translations with one of their own doctors when a medical issue required attention during our visit. Gabriel was very helpful during our visit when the need arose with some packages that needed to be sent by friends from the US. We would highly recommend the Sant’Orsola apartment and would very much like to return to stay at the apartment in the future.

Best Apartment in Firenze

I absolutely loved staying in this apartment. You will be hard-pressed to find another apartment in this price range with this great of a location. It is only a 5 minute walk from the Duomo and is really close to restaurants and grocery stores. It was a very clean apartment with new amenities and appliances. Gabriele was an amazing host and very responsive to any questions I had during my stay. He also provides a comprehensive list of recommended restaurants in the area. I was very satisfied with this apartment and would definitely come again and recommend to others. There were only two areas of improvement in my opinion: -The WiFi is really bad and does not work in the house. Inside the apartment the best service I got was occasionally 2 bars and it often cut out and disconnected automatically because the service was so low. I did find that I had full service outside of the apartment in the hallway, but obviously who wants to sit there are use WiFi? The WiFi was so bad inside the apartment, it felt like I might as well have not had it. - I wish basic supplies in the kitchen had been stocked. There was no coffee, only tea, and when I went to use the olive oil the container was totally empty. This is a small thing but something I would have appreciated. Overall, this was such a great trip and I loved my VRBO experience here. Highly recommend.

Stayed for 6 nights here. The apartment had everything I wanted and as I was alone plenty of space. Gabriele was an excellent host waiting till I arrived late due to flight and train delays. Well equipped apartment possibly just missing a toaster. Really well placed for the main train station, the market and close to all the main sights of Florence.

Gabriele was waiting for us when we arrived and so helpful with good suggestions for restaurants. The apartment was soooo quiet for sleeping. No noise at nighttime. There is quite a climb as there is no lift. Location is perfect-1 block to Mercato Centrale and only a few blocks to the central train station and bus terminal. Air conditioning works great. Very clean - there are stairs

I didn't realize it was on the 4th floor with no elevator, but it was good exercise. I was greatful Gabriele took my bag up for me it would have taken me an hour to do it with rests in between each floor. The apartment was very clean, I would say the bed is a King but it is noted as a Queen could be European size difference from Canadian sizes. The mattress was firm which I like and the bed frame was solid wood. Kitchen was clean, bathroom was clean. I would suggest that a shower caddy be put in the shower, soap, razor, shampoo etc. were all on the shower floor when using it, would be nice to have it in a caddy so that you didn't have to bend all the time. Air Conditioning was FANTASTIC!!! Internet Speed was GREAT!!! Gabriele was very responsive when I sent him quick WhatsApp messages. The location is easy to get to from FlixBus to Tram 1 to his apartment. The location in general was close to everything you want to see in Florence, General Market and Leather Market were a few steps away and everything else was within walking distance under 15 minutes.

Close to everything! Great host!!

Apartment is small, but suitable for 2 adults and two kids. We only stayed to sleep and nap. Within a mile walk to everywhere. Host was fantastic— checked in on us each day and overall a great experience!

Very nice place to stay!

Our stay at the apartment Sant'Orsola was a utterly pleasant. It was clean, sufficiently equipped, reasonably priced and close to the historic center. The host Gabriele was kind and always contactable. Nothing to complain at all. It is also notable that the neighborhood wasn't as sketchy as sometimes written in the ratings. We would definitely stay there again.

Great stay

We had a great stay in this nice accommodation located in the heart of Florence. The location is perfect, close to the central station, mercato centrale, galeria dell'academia as well as the other attractions of the city, all are in walkable distance. The bedroom is comfortable, the bathroom is clean and the kitchen is equipped with almost all the necessary things to prepare a snack or a quick breakfast (some olive oil would be nice to be available for the guest to be able to prepare a salad for example). The check-in was very smooth, the communication with Gabriele was clear and good and he was a very attentive host. He also provided us a list with recommendation for restaurants grouped by genre. All in all, we recommend this apartment for a beautiful vacation in Florence and if we return some day, we'll choose it again .

Absolutely amazing

The place is absolutely perfect for a stay in Florence. The location is absolutely amazing, 5 min walk from S.M. Novella and right next to the San Lorenzo markets. Gabriele was waiting for us out front when we showed up and gave us an in depth tour of everything in the apartment. He included books on Florence and lists of his favorite restaurants. He even left us some delicious cookies as a little gift.
