- There is also a car ferry operating to Fowey
- Polruan, also less than 2 miles, has a few local shops and a passenger ferry running across the river to Fowey
- Both villages are readily accessible via glorious creek-side walks
- Sandy coves at Lantic Bay and Lantivet Bay are just 10 minutes by car
