Welcome to our 200 year old stone cottage, which has been tastefully renovated to provide comfortable accommodation fo r up to four guests. Our place has a cosy lounge and corner dining area, made more authentic with a characterful stone flagged floor. If you like a real fire, you’ll love the log burning stove ensconced in its original stone fireplace. Logs and kindling for the wood burning stove can be purchased locally or we can supply at a cost if given prior notice. To supplement this, there’s gas fired central heating. We have Netflix installed on the Smart TV.....please note, there is NO LIVE TV but as well as Netflix, you may choose to play one of our DVDs through the TV. We have a chromecast installed on the TV so you can cast from your smartphone/Tablet/Laptop onto the TV. Our fully fitted and well-equipped kitchen includes a fan oven, induction hob, microwave, refrigerator (no ice box), toaster and kettle. We leave the usual larder items of milk, tea, coffee, salt etc. Two comfortable double bedrooms are situated on the first floor. The bathroom is a double height room, beautifully lit by a skylight window and it has a bath with electric shower. To the rear, you’ll find a paved yard and to the front a small garden. The property is three minutes’ walk to Hebden Bridge railway station and five minutes’ walk to the centre of the town with its array of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.
Unfortunately, there is no parking at the house and there are double yellow lines on the main road outside but there is a small pay and display car park just off the station approach road which is two or three minutes walk from the cottage. There are two other pay and display car parks very close to the cottage. You may park free on the main road towards Halifax.
* Please note that if your group includes children younger than five years of age we would like to make you aware of the following aspects of the property before booking.
The points for your consideration are as follows: • We are set up mainly for adults with two double beds and we don't provide any equipment such as stair gates, cots, baby bath etc. • The stairs are carpeted but please be advised that the lounge is stone-flagged with a largish carpet square in the middle and all other rooms are finished with varnished or painted floorboards. • The wood-burning stove can be a hazard for young children when in use - of course you could just run the central heating and wouldn't necessarily have to use this. • And finally, there are three stone steps from the kitchen out to the back yard.
On a plus point for the children, the cottage is situated across the road from the town park with a safely enclosed kiddies area and skate park for the older ones. On a plus point for everybody, there's Park Life Cafe, which sells lovely food and drinks and possibly ice cream in the warmer months (no promises on that though!)

Clean & welcoming, ideal location, within walking distance of town centre, pubs and places to eat. Second time we have stayed here and will be booking for next year
The property was just what I needed. Quiet beautiful location and very very close to shops, restaurants and bars etc. Hosts were very attentive with very good response time to queries. Should I ever visit Hebden Bridge again, this property would be my first choice of stay.
Lovely cottage, very close to town , weather was a bit cold, had to buy blankets for the lounge as there weren't any, really enjoyed our stay hope to be back soon

It was a pleasure to have Miriam and her friend stay in our cottage. They are a lovely couple who left our place in a very clean and tidy condition. Communication throughout was friendly and prompt. We have no hesitation in recommending Miriam and friend to other hosts and would welcome them back any time.
Cottage was fab: located close to centre with a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and all important wood burner. Useful information and maps on hand. Host’s comms excellent. We had a great time!

Well located nicely fitted out cottage
Great location close to town centre but far enough away to be quiet. Close to train and bus connections. Very clean and comfortable with modern fittings and well equipped kitchen.
However we had two complaints- Beds are not king sized as advertised (ordinary doubles) and there was no regular TV connection??(Netflix or DVD only)

We find this to be a very disappointing review to read. We have 100 reviews for our property on another site and have never been awarded less than 4 stars with 94 five star reviews; incidentally, these reviews have commented on how comfortable the beds are. We work hard to maintain high standards and to make guests feel at home.
Your 3 star rating appears to be on the basis of the two complaints that you have mentioned. With respect to your point that the listing states that the beds are king size; the listing has never described the beds as being king size. In the detailed description we say: "Two comfortable double bedrooms are situated on the first floor". With regards to your point concerning the TV, here is a copy of the relevant section of the listing:
"Smart TV with Netflix installed. No live TV."
To criticise the property for the lack of an amenity that was clearly identified in the listing seems to us to be a little harsh. It is difficult to escape the conclusion that you appear not to have read the listing thoroughly before you booked the property and before you wrote your review.
Perfect little cottage for a short stay in the Hebden Bridge area. Excellent communications and check in arrangements. Cottage is well equipped with a small stock of essentials upon arrival. Cosy and warm, 'home from home' , it's ideally located for exploring the town and the Calder Valley. Highly recommended.
The property was exactly as in the picture, it was clean and homely and we enjoyed our stay there. Milk, tea, coffee, sugar etc all provided which was a nice gesture. Location of the property was great as not too far from the town and local bars and restaurants. We loved Hebden Bridge it was a lovely town with lots to see and do and we had a great stay there! We’d definitely go there again and highly recommend the cottage to friends and family. Good communication from Anne and Dave who gave us some great recommendations for things to do during our stay as well as providing details of the local restaurants. Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely cottage :)

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The property was perfectly located for our visit with easy parking nearby.
The facililties were excellent, all very clean and everything that we needed.
The hosts were extremely helpful in advance with advice on parking, places to visit and restaurants.
This property is a little gem in a really convenient location having quick access to Hebden Bridge centre, the spacious park and the canal walkways. We found the cottage well-equipped, comfortable and we both slept well throughout our stay. Alongside the provision of coffee, tea, milk there was a variety of basic items which were very welcome such as cooking oil, hand wash, sugar etc. Communication with Anna was very good and information about the area, the cottage itself and walks was greatly appreciated. Despite there being no parking, as the cottage is on a through road, we managed to secure free parking beside a local car park just round the corner from the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our break at this lovely cottage.

Thanks for choosing our place for your trip to Hebden Bridge, I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed your time in the town. It was a real pleasure to host you :)
Very nice and helpful hosts. A wonderful cosy place near to towncenter. Loved my second stay as much as the first!

Hebden Bridge Weekend
Super weekend! The cottage is perfectly situated to explore the area. Parking nearby. Very helpful owners who made us most welcome and provided very clear instructions for using the cottage. Not the best water pressure and busy traffic nearby but theses minor issues can't be helped and didn't hamper our stay. We shall be back!

About the host

I am a painter and my studio is on the second floor of Linden Mill. The location is on Linden Road, which is a short walk across town. Please contact me if you'd like to visit. I have lived in the Hebden area for 20+ years with my husband and 3 children - now grown and out in the world! Having stayed in a significant number of holiday properties over the years I have absorbed a feeling for what makes for a comfortable stay in a holiday home. I hope that guests will be able to enjoy our home and their stay in Hebden Bridge.
Why they chose this property
We bought this property as we recognised that its location was so convenient for everything that Hebden Bridge has to offer. We completely renovated and reconfigured the property in 2017, please not the unusual arrangement in the bathroom.
What makes this property unique
The property is 3 minutes walk from Hebden Bridge train station.
