The house sits in a hectare of magnificent parkland offering peace and tranquility, with a manicured garden and shaded terraces plus a new 13x5M heated pool. With direct access to the route nationale via a 300m tree lined private road being 30 mins from both Carcassone and Toulouse and 10 mins from Castelnaudary. Cleaning at the end of the holiday is included in the price.

Lovely house and property with beautiful gardens and pool

We had a good welcome and lots of information up front. The property is very private, which suited us well. Gorgeous gardens with mature trees and flowers. The outdoor furniture is very nice and a nice place to sit in the afternoon and enjoy the gardens. Lots of places to explore. The pool is excellent. We spent alot of time in here. The house is very comfortable, good lounges, chairs to sit at, nice beds, plenty of bathrooms. The house is well -equipped, good for cooking and eating meals in. It's rural, so quiet but close enough to good attractions and places to eat. Enjoyed our stay, highly recommended.

Très belle propriété. De veilles pierres dans un confort moderne, dans un parc très agréable. Les matériaux de rénovation sont très bien choisis. la maison est tra bien équipée (barbecue, grande piscine, salon de jardin, cuisine et salles de bains très confortables) Nous avons pu rayonner depuis la maison, dans toute la région avec d'agréables surprises, comme la ville de FOIX, vraiment charmante le jour de marché. Tout était parfait. Merci pour ce séjour.

Magnifique

Le jardin (ou plutôt parc !) est splendide. Immense et très bien entretenu. La piscine est grande et chauffée, un vrai plaisir ! La maison est très belle : le charme de l'ancien avec le confort d'une rénovation moderne. Les photos ne rendent pas justice à la propriété. Si cela semble charmant et spacieux sur les photos, c'est en fait deux fois mieux en vrai :) Les propriétaires savent accueillir, et les gérants de propriété sont là pour répondre à la moindre question. Parfait. Nous sommes une famille avec quatre enfants/ados. Nous avons beaucoup aimé !

Un superbe séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Rastel en famille. La maison est spacieuse, dispose de toutes les commodités et invite au repos. La piscine, la terrasse avec le barbecue permettent de passer d’agréables moments en journée comme en soirée. Le parc a beaucoup plu aux enfants qui ont pu observer lapins et écureuils et nous avons pu profiter du petit potager pour cueillir des légumes que nous avons cuisinés. Le contact avec les propriétaires et les personnes en charge de l’entretien de la maison est attentionné et très professionnel. Nous reviendrons dans cette maison et la recommandons.

Stunning property in a fantastic area

I have rented many properties in France over the years and would thoroughly recommend Le Rastel. It’s probably the best house that I have rented. The property itself is a grand old french house, which is well appointed with spacious grounds and a lovely pool. It gives you a great opportunity to get away from it and to embrace a more sedate lifestyle, enjoying the countryside, historic attractions and local food. We actually went even further afield into Span to visit the Costa Brava, Dali’s museum at Figueres and Barcelona. Travel from the UK is super convenient to Toulouse which also turns out to be an excellent city for shopping and food. We will be back, we had a wonderful trip.

Des vacances inoubliables

N'hésitez surtout pas à réserver cette propriété : tout est conforme à l'annonce avec en plus des gérants charmants et à l'écoute des hôtes. La maison a gardé le charme de l'ancien et elle est décoré avec beaucoup de goût et des matériaux de qualité. Le jardin est très arboré et permet des flâneries pour observer les écureuils. La terrasse, protégée du soleil par 5 énormes platanes, permet de manger dehors sans souffrir de la chaleur. Evidemment la piscine est géniale ! Nous avons passé une excellent semaine en compagnie d'amis. Il nous a été très difficile de quitter la maison tellement nous y étions bien. Nous pensons déjà la réserver l'année prochaine !

A wonderful house and garden

A superb house and garden - beautiful grounds and a fabulous swimming pool. Peaceful and relaxing with the only the nearby cockerel providing a morning chorus! House is clean and communication was great from enquiring to leaving the property.

Superbe maison, très beau jardin, à 5 mn de Castelnaudary

Maison ancienne mais restaurée et avec le confort moderne , très beau terrain avec piscine (chauffée si besoin), le tout à 5 mn de Castelnaudary. On peut même descendre au canal du midi en vélo en partant de la propriété , en 10 mn. En plus la région est superbe et le beau temps assuré What’s else ?!

We are a British and Chinese couple who lived in Switzerland for ten years. We moved to France in 2017. To remember our time in Switzerland we decided to transport an olive tree that we had on the terrace. We sent it by post and it survived. This is a picture of us just before we planted the tree in the garden at Le Rastel. Hopefully it will flourish in its new home.

Why they chose this property

We looked at over 1000 properties on the web and narrowed the search down to ten. We looked in both the Lanquedoc and Bordeaux regions. We fell in love with this property the moment we drove down the driveway and into the parkland, before we even entered the house.
