The view of the Mississippi and the wild life was so nice. We had a very relaxing Memorial Day weekend. Loved the house and the location. It will be nicer once the river is warmer, then I would be inclined to try kayaking!

Awesome Mississippi River Property

House is clean, well furnished, and has amazing views of the river. The yard is big with nice grass, has a fun basketball hoop, a great dock into the river to park a boat, and an easy to driveway to park a boat trailer. The owners have great communication. Quiet river view

Would totally stay again. Clean and comfy. Quiet river view. Our kiddo loved the beach, I loved having coffee overlooking the quiet river and watching folks harvest wild rice. Love how dog friendly they are 😀 The road gets a bit noisy at times but overall there is a good amount of privacy. Its close to the boat launch and a nice little cruise to Pokegama. Great restaurants in Grand Rapids! Enjoyed 2 Breweries. Our kid loved the basketball hoop and swing too! Happy to have had this place to stay :)

We’ll be back

Another relaxing family vacation. Property is tucked away on the river yet close enough to town and trails. Guest bedrooms are a bit tight for adults but we make it work. Would suggest some sort of pantry or shelving for guests to stash the food we bring for the week. Cabin has spacious living area and kitchen for group of 6 no problem. The porch is great to store coolers and stuff to keep out of the way. We will be back again next year!

The overall place was beautiful. The outside needs some serious work. Meaning the landscaping and yard. Sticks and branches everywhere. There was only one dock that was accessible. In the description it says 2. Totally full of weeds up through the dock itself. Not able to use at all . This place needs alot of TLC

We enjoyed the property very much. Our crew of 7 (two couples and the rest kids) comfortably slept here and didn't use one of the beds). we docked our boat there and did see the 3 lakes, but spent most our time nearby and on the river. We checked out Tioga Mine pit for a swim one day (not far), and enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboard another day. Some appliances were older, but worked well enough for us. We enjoyed the backyard and firepit. Our kids enjoyed the gaming in the sunroom and the internet worked well; this room was nice because it kept the noise separate, but they were still nearby. Communication with owners was good. We'd like to come back sometime. If we do, we'll remember to pack a basketball (our car was so full I risked that maybe there would be one there).

The cabin had a beautiful view of the Mississippi River and was the perfect location for us to visit the sights in NE Minnesota. Was disappointed in the bathroom situation ,I thought each bedroom had a bath . Info said there were 3 bathrooms, turned out 1 beautiful bath in the Masterbed room, 1 bathroom on the main floor to be shared by the other two bedrooms. Checked out unfinished basement and there is a toilet and vanity with what looks like they are going to add a shower. , I should have asked if each bedroom had a bath attached before booking. Otherwise the house is ok.

Minnesota fishing trip

Our cabin was real spacious for our family of 6. Closed in porch on back of cabin with futon. The deadbolt on porch door would lock you in & out on porch sometimes. Beds were comfortable & bathrooms were nice & clean. Kitchen had a long countertop with cabinets below with plenty of cooking supplies. Opposite of counter was refrigerator, sink, stove, & microwave. There wasn't any food storage in kitchen, only a couple cabinets in laundry/entry room. Air conditioning/ceiling fans kept us comfortable. We had storms the first few days which slowed fishing; but mid week it picked up in the Mississippi. Northern, largemouth & small mouth bass were caught. Soon after our arrival on Sunday morning at 8am a small black bear came running through the backyard. Several squirrels for our pet dog to watch. Painted turtle laid eggs, too! We had fish fry on day before we left. Owner was very responsive to our needs. Location of cabin was close to town. Cabin location for fishing was perfect for river & lake fishing w/o taking taking boat out of water. Great large parking area. We would rent this cabin again!

We had been looking for a cabin for awhile prior to finally finding this! We love the log siding and large lot. Watching the sunset over the river is beautiful! We enjoy exploring Cohasset and Grand Rapids, and are looking forward to boating to Zorbaz on Pokegama Lake this summer!
