Tuscany, Siena, is one of the most popular and well-known areas of Tuscany: Chianti, a hilly region consisting of wooded areas and land planted with vines and olive trees, dotted with numerous, perfectly preserved, medieval villages like Greve, Panzano, Gaiole, Radda and Castellina, rich in high quality food and wine. This is the authentic area for the production of Chianti Classico DOCG, a historical symbol marked with the symbol of the Black Rooster. The property is located just a few kilometers from Greve (about 18 km), a picturesque village famous for its large central square, The Mercatale, which since ancient times has hosted fairs, markets and cultural events, overlooked by historic buildings of particular artistic importance , such as the neo-Renaissance Town Hall and the Church of Santa Croce, with a 14th fresco depicting the Virgin and Child and a triptych by Bicci di Lorenzo, dated 1420. Strolling along the porticoes that surround it craft shops, restaurants and restaurants offering local and culinary specialties. A few paces away from the central is the Museum of the Sacred Art and the Wine Museum which, in addition to the exhibition, offers a tasting of about 200 different wines, for computerized explanation. About 2 km away is the tiny village of Montefioralle, the birthplace of the navigator Amerigo Vespucci, a must see if you want to see the unique panorama seen from the hill. The area offers plenty of opportunities for recreation: nature and sports fans can go horse riding, cycling, hiking and playing golf (at Impruneta, about 16 km away, is the prestigious Ugolino Golf Club with an 18-hole course). The area is also interesting for its numerous designer-label outlets, such as Reggello (Fashion Valley and The Mall - 17 km), Montevarchi (Prada - 28 km) or Barberino di Mugello (Barberino Designer Outlet - 60 km). The little village of San Polo in Chianti, about 4 km away, has all the needs of the guests. The Perfect Tuscany Home
This is one of the most beautiful houses that you could possibly stay at in Figline Tuscany. We could not have asked for a more kind and perfect host that was nothing but helpful in advising us on our visits to and from Florence. If you book this place I would suggest communicating with the host about your travel and I promise you will have the perfect weekend.

Beautiful older Tuscan home
We first arrived at night so didn’t get to see the true beauty until the morning. The road is very rough, but so are most roads to the wineries, consider it part of the experience. The home was wonderful, just a little hard for someone with bad knees as there are stairs in all three levels. The ground floor also has steps to the bathroom and into the bedroom. Be sure to bring all disposable and consumables as hand soap and toilet paper were the only things provided. After a trip to the COOP for trash bags, dish soap, detergent, napkins, water, food… we were in great shape and very much enjoyed the quiet and beautiful views.

Authentic Tuscany with charm and personality.
Our stay was everything we hoped for and more. The quaint house has stunning views over the valley with Florence in the background. It is beautifully decorated with all you need to be comfortable. Stefania is a perfect host with her recommendations and lovely personality. She was even nice enough to give us a little tour and tell the fascinating history of her home. This is the perfect place to relax, get away from tourists and feel the real Tuscany for sometime. Also I have to say compared to similar places, this is worth every penny. It is really a hidden gem. Thanks again Stefania. Mika&Marcel + family
