Scrimshaw Cottage - a charming, romantic getaway for a couple boasting stunning sea views.

A charming, former fisherman's cottage boasting stunning sea views from all rooms. This cottage is full of character and quirks with original beams, sloping ceilings and a Traditional Norfolk winder steep staircase; ideally located overlooking the sea just a few steps from the beach and promenade and within easy reach of all the amenities.Ground floor: Front door opening into Lounge: with TV with FREE SAT and dining table, door to Kitchen: with electric fan oven, ceramic hob, microwave oven and fridge with freezer compartment. Traditional Norfolk winder steep staircase leading to small landing.
First floor: Bedroom: with Kingsize bed, feature beach hut wardrobe, wall mounted TV, with FREE SAT, vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. Bathroom: corner bath, WC, pedestal hand basin.
Please note: Wi-Fi. Outside to the front of the cottage is a small enclosed area with table and chairs to enjoy the morning sunshine overlooking Lifeboat Plain. Whilst there is no parking at the property, the Cliff Road or Station car park are close by and both weekly and annual passes are available to purchase. Location: beach 0.05 miles, local amenities 0.1 miles. Due to the location, this cottage may experience noise from the local Pub during busy times.Please note that the information on this page is intended as a guide only. Once again we’ve had a superb week in this delightful cottage. It’s always lovely and clean. Attractively decorated and furnished. Next to the sea and just around the corner for lots of shops and cafes.

Third stay

This was our third visit to Scrimshaw cottage and we love the location. It is right next to the beach and close to pubs, shops and restaurants. There is a car park right next door which now offers weekly tickets but we unload and head for the streets which offer free parking. The cottage is perfect for two is great for a weeks stay.

Relaxing & Close to Sea

The cottage was very quirky but cosy and comfortable. The accommodation was well equipped with a welcome bottle of wine , tea , coffee , milk and biscuits supplied. I thought this a lovely touch. Would highly recommend this place to stay. I will definitely be returning.

A lovely comfortable cottage

We had a really enjoyable stay in Scrimshaw Cottage. Very comfortable furniture and beds and all very well furnished. The kitchen was modern and very well equipped. The situation was brilliant, being only a few yards from the sea wall, pubs/restaurants and the main shopping streets. Thank you.

Lovely Cottage

Lovely cottage, the lounge, well laid out with two nice comfortable sofa's , coffee tables ,and good dining table ,this was a lovely room to come back to when we had been out ,so relaxing . spacious kitchen well equipped all we needed.. Upstairs bedroom and bathroom all laid out nicely, great views of the sea., Being over 80 we did find the top of the stairs abit tricky but just had to take extra care ., We did enjoy our relaxing stay .

Absolutely lovely

What a fabulous little cottage! Absolutely immaculate and with everything you could possibly need for your stay. It has a lovely 'feel' as soon as you walk in, and is extremely comfortable from the sofas to the bed. The position of the cottage is perfect with everything so close by.. shops, pubs, restaurants etc, yet tucked away slightly. It was so lovely to be able to see the sea from every window and to be so close to it. As mentioned in other reviews, the stairs are fairly steep but there are only 7 of them and another 2 at the bottom going into the kitchen are usual size. There is a small car park for around 20 cars out to the side of the cottage which we used as we were there for 3 days we paid the £8.70 for 24hrs and nipped out to renew it, but as per other reviews there is plenty of free parking around if you want. We were there at the end of September but I imagine during peak season it would be a lot busier. We were very sad to leave the cottage and have every intention of re-booking for more visits.

As usual fab holiday in Sherringham & stay in Scrimshaw Cottage - our 4th in this property. The cottage is well positioned for the beach, shops, cafes & pubs and is a great find - good value & really comfy Unfortunately this will be our last stay in this cottage - the change over day has changed to a Friday & this is totally unsuitable, meaning an extra day of leave as unable to get to Sherringham after work. A real shame as we love this little cottage.

Cosy, clean, comfortable and great location

The cottage was perfect for the two of us. It was well equipped and furnished to a high standard. It was warm and welcoming and in an ideal location for all amenities. We enjoyed our stay and would go again and recommend it to others.
