The great room off the kitchen has windows on all three sides and is filled with sunlight throughout the day. The front room has a great sectional sofa to spread out and read or just relax - crank the windows open and listen to the lake while you enjoy a good book! Right off the front room is an open spiral staircase that leads to the open loft (again NOT BABY PROOFED). In short, this is a great house on a great street in a great village!

About the host

Host profile image
We grew up in Michigan and Wisconsin and our family has been vacationing in Leland and the surrounding Leelanau County for decades. We currently live in Washington, DC, and have been looking for a place we could call our own in Leland for years. We have three children who are in their adventurous years and we look forward to all the memories they will be able to make up in Leland. And, since we benefited from renting places in Leland for years, we would like to share our house with others so that they can create their own magical memories of Leland and Leelanau County.

Why they chose this property

We love the street that this house is located on, with its large trees, green lawns and the proximity to North Beach and Lake Michigan. We also love the size of the house - its big enough to fit extended family and has a great backyard surrounded by trees on three sides. We also love being so close to Lake Michigan that you can hear the waves and smell the crisp air coming off the lake. The proximity to Fishtown, the Leland Harbor, the Dam Candy Store, the Village Cheese Shanty, the Cove, River & Main, the Bluebird, the Riverside Inn, the Leland Lodge and Neadows Bay on Lake Leelanau, means that most everything Leland has to offer is just a short walk away. And, once you have explored Leland, you are just a short car ride or bike ride away from Sleeping Bear Dunes, Northport, Suttons Bay, Glen Arbor, Empire and Cedar and all the other awesome spots in Leelanau County.
