We loved our stay and the apartment. The location within Florence and the view were spectacular. It should be noted that the MANY steep flights of stairs with luggage was difficult and no elevator was available if you are not able to climb with baggage. The front door of the building did not lock which was concerning but the amazing location was our priority and it was a perfect fit for us!!!
The place is small but perfect for two people! Especially with the windows and views! We absolutely loved our stay. The location is incredible, and a convenient starting point in the mornings. We would stay here again.
Great place and location! Was very comfortable and the view was unreal. As long as you don’t mind ALOT of stairs. We thought it was more than worth it.
Uniquely old world Italy apartment with great views & terrace right on top of everything. Comfortable, spacious, and decently equipped. Kept the terrace doors open whenever in. Had a magnificent meal in an excellent restaurant in the bottom floor of the building and there's a hugely popular Irish bar just steps away.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment in the center of Florence! The location is great, and the views from the two balconies were amazing (which we used to share some wine and enjoy the scene a couple of our nights). There are a LOT of stairs to get up to the apartment, and a spiral staircase (as pictured) to get up to the bed, so keep that in mind. Also, we would've loved a couple more towels. Otherwise, the apartment itself was very accommodating. One thing to note is the noise - as mentioned, it's in the center of Florence, and there are many restaurants and clubs nearby that stay open VERY late, so maybe bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. We would stay here again!
Nice place. Tons of stairs. The stairs can be slippery so be careful! It’s a bit confusing to find the flat. The lighting outside the flat but before you go out the main door can be quite confusing. We didn’t know we could activate it ourselves.
Do know the bed is in the loft. The only way to access the loft is by a very very narrow spiral staircase in the unit. The height between the loft and the roof- I could not stand straight up and I am 5’ 10” tall. It’s also very warm. The a/c kinda works but not really. We had to sleep with both fans plugged in and running.
Location is FANTASTIC! You are perfectly located for everything!
This place was AMAZING! We had no idea it was in such a great location. We had so many restaurants and bars right on our street to choose from! The space was BEAUTIFUL! The views were incredible and the bed was quite comfortable. It said it had laundry, but when we checked in they told us it didn't, so that was a little bit of a bummer. Also, it's on the top floor so beware you have to carry luggage up lots of flights, but it was totally worth it!
Our 2nd time to Florence, this time a full week as home base. Perfect living space for the two of us. The views thru the massive floor to ceiling windows were wonderful - enjoying even more the terrace spaces. We finished most nights on the broader terrace at the little table/chairs provided, taking in the sights and sounds, playing cards, etc.
The location was spectacular. 5–8-minute stroll west to Duomo and all the sights and sounds of city central. Equal distance south to Arno/Vecchio. We stayed on foot throughout Florence, including Piazza Michelangelo, train station, etc. A perfect jump-off point for it all.
We fell in love with the small piazza that the apartment sits above - Piazza di S. Pier Maggiore. Café/fruit stand by morning, charming Restaurants in the evening. We ate many of our meals sampling the few restaurants here. Just outside “city center”, it is our opinion that the food was superior, as were the prices.
We fell in love with the very narrow road, Borgo Degli Albizi, when the mood called for people watching in the large piazzas. A very safe, quiet stretch (stopping for gelato each time). A very memorable experience for sure.
FYI – the stairs to the apartment may not be for all. I’m mid-50’s not in great shape. A bit daunting, but oddly rewarding each time as well. For us, it really just enhanced and solidified the overall memories made on this trip to Florence. We did not find noise to be an issue at night. But it was a hot week, so we did keep the windows shut (appreciating the air conditioning) at night. Out on the terrace near bed time, we truly enjoyed this indistinct sound of chatter and dining, nothing more than soft white noise in our opinion.
No regrets on our selection and would choose it again.
Incredible view, and very quaint space. We stayed for a couple of nights and had an amazing time, plus we were right in the middle of downtown Florence! We couldn't find the air conditioning remote or the WiFi password, but we left happy and have only great things to say about the apartment! Thanks!
