About this property
Ca\' Moro - LIDO - sleeps 5 guests in 2 bedrooms
The LIDO apartment is located on the third floor, easily accessed via elevator service, and consists of: 2 double bedrooms (with the possibility of an extra bed in the larger one), 2 en-suite bathrooms, and 1 laundry room. The living area in very spacious with a dining table for up to 10 people, 2 large sofas, and a bar-kitchen to entertain guests with an aperitif while preparing meals in the kitchen or for breakfasts in the elegant living area. The house is very bright as it is on the third floor of Palazzo Garzoni-Moro, and the view on the canal and on the city’s rooftops brings a lot of light and air to the living area. The apartment does in fact look out from two opposite sides of the building, offering spectacular views of the city.
Garzoni-Moro is a prestigious late-Gothic palazzo located in the middle of the bend of the Grand Canal. The area of San Samuele and Santo Stefano has always been a favorite of the most important Venetian families for their private residence. Equally distant from San Marco – political and religious center – and Rialto – the business and finance heart of the city – it was the perfect location for families to exercise their power and manage their interests during the 1000-year history of the Venetian Republic. Palazzo Garzoni-Moro was built in the 15th century and completely restored in 2017. It consists of a large main residence overlooking the Grand Canal, and 8 apartments on the opposite side of the building overlooking the private courtyard, the nearby canal, and the Venetian rooftops. The location is very calm and quiet despite it being close to the city’s main attractions, like the Guggenheim Collection museum, Gallerie dell’Accademia, Ca’ d’Oro-Giorgio Franchetti museum and gallery, Palazzo Giustiniani, and Palazzo Fortuny. Furthermore, the proximity to Salizada San Samuele, Calle della Mandola, and Campo San Maurizio means being close to many shops, restaurants, and the famous outdoor antique market of San Maurizio. Literally five minutes from Palazzina G and the Bauer Hotel, both exclusive spots of Venetian nightlife, this apartment allows you to be at the heart of the city’s most important events, especially during the Venice Film Festival and the Art and Architecture Biennale. The building has been masterfully restored, with easy home automation devices, heated floors, elevator, and central air conditioning; newly designed bathrooms and kitchens complete the picture.
Venice has six districts, known as “sestieri”. The district of San Marco embraces three important city venues and symbols: the Accademia Bridge, the Rialto Bridge, and the most famous Square in the world (as well as only one of the island), Piazza San Marco. Here, you can find some of the most well-known and beautiful city monuments: the splendid San Marco Basilica, richly decorated with Byzantine mosaics and columns, the elegant Palazzo Ducale, overlooking the San Marco basin, and the imposing “Campanile” (bell tower), from which you can enjoy one of the most breathtaking views of the city’s rooftops.
In this area, you can find elegant cafes and restaurants, famous art galleries, and the city’s most beautiful Murano-glass shops and important boutiques, for those who love shopping.
