About this property
Lovely summer cottage. Steps to the water, The Madison Beach Club, and town.
Classic and charming, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath Connecticut cottage sits on a quiet street just two blocks from the water. It comfortably sleeps six and has everything you need for a relaxed stay in this beautiful shoreline village, with walking and biking access to both of Madison’s scenic public beaches.
The recently renovated home has a bright, open floor plan with a cozy fireplace for cooler evenings and AC for warmer days. The kitchen, bathrooms, dining room, laundry, and floors were all thoughtfully updated in 2021 with lovely fixtures and modern appliances. Unwind on the breezy screened-in porch, surrounded by roses, honeysuckle, and hydrangea, or enjoy the large grassy yard with plenty of space for BBQs, badminton, or letting the kids run around.
Just a short walk to town and local beaches, this home is an ideal base for exploring Madison and the Connecticut shoreline. “Courtside” is perfect for an annual family beach getaway, with easy access (walk or bike) to Madison's three public beaches and The Madison Beach Club, and it’s also a convenient, central spot for visiting friends and relatives.
Hop on our bikes and ride along the water to Hammonasset Beach—about 15 minutes on a scenic trail. Head into town for a movie at the art-house theater, a visit to the world-famous RJ Julia Bookstore, ice cream from Ashley’s, or a great meal at one of Madison’s excellent restaurants. Explore nearby wineries, or head to Guilford for summer fruit picking at Bishop’s Orchards. Don’t miss local farm-to-table dinners or the weekly farmers market on Madison Green, where the best of Connecticut’s summer produce shines.
Come experience what makes Madison so special—a place families return to year after year. Our cottage was built in the 1930s and has been lovingly cared for and updated over time. It’s a wonderful spot to relax, recharge, and explore the area’s beaches and historic charm.
Our typical minimum stay is seven nights, with a maximum of 14 days. Occasionally, we can accommodate different lengths of stay—please reach out if you have a special request. We’re happy to help.
