Stunning Ocean View! This beautiful 7 bedroom, 6 bath home with a private pool and an outdoor shower. Unobstructed ocean view of the Kona Coastline. Spectacular stargazing from your own private deck. There's also free WiFi and TVs with streaming services and Netflix.

The house can accommodate up to 24 people.

LIVE OUTSIDE! At night the outdoor lanai area around the pool /spa is a wonderful spot to kick back and relax, have a drink and/or dinner, and/or watch the kids play in the pool.

The house has 5 master suites with 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. All the rooms have AC.

The home is conveniently located close to many amenities which include a plethora of dining options (including the famous Sam Choy), a movie theater and shopping center, all within a five-minute drive. Numerous resort amenities are available just to the South. The Keauhou Bay area offers great ocean access, scuba diving, and sailing, catamaran, fishing charters, sea kayaking, and outrigger canoeing.

Just a few miles down the shoreline you will find Kahalu’u Beach State Park, famous for its encounters with the graceful green Hawaiian Sea Turtles.

Magic Sands Beach and Kahalu'u Beach Park are BOTH within 1 mile...These two beaches are our absolute favorites on Ali'i Drive and the most popular. This is the best location to the beaches and to enjoy access to the best shopping and restaurants on Kona to Downtown Kailua. Keauahou with the famed manta ray night dives is also about 5 minutes. Right in the middle of everything.

If you are seeking local markets and historical context, downtown Kailua-Kona is approximately a 10-minute drive for easy access to shopping, businesses, waterfront restaurants, and hotels. Watch the people and the cruise ships come and go from the Kailua Pier. Visit the famous Farmer's Market. Enjoy a shave ice or a cup of Kona coffee, have a light snack or a gourmet meal, buy an inexpensive souvenir or a piece of fine art, book an activity, go for a swim or hang out on the many beautiful beaches.

Up the coast is a busy marina with Hawaii's best scuba diving, big-game fishing, kayaking, dolphin and whale watching, and other ocean activities. Ali'i Makai is conveniently located, a great home base to explore the many wonders of the Big Island including Volcano National Park, Mauna Kea Observatory, coffee and macadamia nut farms, artist communities, and more!

This house is close to a highway, but there is a 20 ft high stone embankment that blocks all the sounds from the road. You can read the many positive reviews about this house to see our prior guests praising the quiet and relaxing environment.

Check-In: TENANT agrees that rent commences no earlier than 4 pm on the day and date indicated on part one. Early check-in may be permitted if the house is ready, and must be pre-arranged with LANDLORD. The additional fees for early check-in are $99 for 2 pm check-in, $299 for 12 pm check-in, $399 for 10 am check-in.

Check-Out: TENANT agrees to vacate the premises no later than 11 am on check-out day. TENANT's security deposit shall be forfeited if you do not vacate the premises by 11am unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Late check-out may be permitted if there is no new tenant arriving the same day. Late check-out must be pre-arranged with LANDLORD. The additional fees for late check-out are $99 for 12pm check-out, $199 for 2pm check-out, $399 for 4:00 pm check-out, $499 for 6pm check-out, and $599 for 8 pm check-out

Property is just as described with comfortable rooms for our party of 12 including a crib and high chair for the baby. Pool and outdoor eating area absolutely gorgeous with amazing views of the ocean. Kitchen had everything you could think of. Host was very responsive to our requests.

There was 17 of us total ranging feom ages 65 to 5 months. This house is beautiful and in a great location! Plenty of room of all 17 of us plus some! The host is amazing and answers in a timely manner!

Beautiful View and Location

This property met the needs and expectation for our family vacation. The location was convenient to the airport as we had to make several trips to accommodate arrivals and departures. The property afforded us wonderful views for morning coffee and sunsets!

Good House for Large Family Gathering

15 of our family members stayed at this location. The 7 bedrooms are divided among three separate buildings. The house worked well for our range of ages and the kids loved the pool, however it was cold. I guess pools aren't heated in Hawaii. The kitchen could use a good reorganization to get rid of some of the old spices and a few of the appliances that did not work. Also the beach/pool toy box needs to be dinged out. It was difficult to get all the bedding washed (12 sheet sets) and dried by the 11:00 a.m. checkout. Otherwise we had a fabulous time and would recommend this house to other large groups.

A perfect holiday home for a large family

We had a wonderful stay with our large family in this beautiful home. We were 15 people (11 adults and 5 children ages 3-12) and everyone had plenty of space. The large table on the lanai was perfect for evening meals together. The kitchen had every amenity and appliance you could want. The pool was large and just right for our family. The location is convenient to beaches, shopping, restaurants, and all of the highlights of the Kona Coast. It's a beautiful home and we greatly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful view

The view was beautiful and the house was clean. The neighborhood was also very nice. We had 14 people and more than enough room. The layout is great because you never felt crowded, we all had our own quiet space to retreat to. The only suggestion I would make is to go through the kitchen and reorganize, and on the outside of the property and in garage there were broken items like chairs and umbrellas etc that are a little bit of an eye sore. Why not throw them away. I wouldn’t call that a negative just a suggestion. Again the house is very nice and fit our needs perfectly

Graduation Getaway

Everything was lovely including fresh, local fruits & champagne. Such an incredible unobstructed view!! Pool & hot tub were excellent! My husband & I enjoyed coffee & rainbows the 2nd morning, such a treat!! Mahalo for having the crib set up for us in the master!! Your entire layout was so easy to keep clean!! Family Vacation

Overall the vacation was wonderful, Hawaii did not disappoint. The house and how it was listed was accurately represented. Down side was the lack of having trash removal. Trash only being removed once a week when managing a VRBO is a bit crazy. One would think running a VRBO where you have back to back reservations dealing with previous renters trash and unable to have a place for your trash was disappointing. If you live on the island find a way to have trash managed more frequently and partner with trash locations or dumpsters so that your renters are not trying to pack trash on top of trash with a can overflowing. We did have mice as a result that were present along with roaches because that much trash leads to unwanted guests. Also reached out due to a potential left item and had no response even as we offered to pay to have it shipped to our home address. That was disappointing as it was like check out and you are done with no response from property owner.

Great house but it is not maintained

The house is in a great location. Close to the beach and town. Plenty of parking. The pool is great. The house needs to be updated. The floor in one room is pealing up. There wasn’t enough blankets for all of the listed beds. Decorations are missing. The built in grill is gone and there is a borderline portable grill. The rooms are pretty plain. The air conditioning unit in the back room makes a loud banging noice when it is turned on. You shouldn’t book an early flight home because they require all of the bedding for 24 people to be washed before you go home. This is the same for the towels so you have to start the day before making using the pool on the last night difficult. The outside furniture is falling apart and the pool toys are old and broken. The house holds 24 and the trash can is designed for a family of 4. I had to pay a company 200 dollars to pick up the extra trash. The toilet in the main living area runs and can be hard to flush. Great house, great location but it needs to be managed and maintained better.

Great for Large Groups

We had a family group of 21 adults and children. The house was a great size for us. The location was also a big plus. The cleaners were still cleaning when we arrived at 4. Housekeeping came back later that night to bring extra sheets for the hide a bed couch and the futon. An AC unit was not working in one room and Emmy had it replaced the next day. Thank you! When we checked in on Monday the trash was overflowing on the curb - to be fair, trash pick up was Tues so we dragged the cans to the curb. There were 2 extra cans filled with plastic and paper that sat there the entire week. I couldn’t get a response which day was recycling to be put out. The view was stunning. Thanks for the hot tub and grill. This is an older house that does need some repairs - kitchen cabinet shelf had broken, older shower heads that sprayed over the shower glass and outdoor light strands were missing bulbs at kid level. Lots of parking for 4 minivans in the driveway. Loved having extra beach towels. The kitchen area is small for the size of the house. Limits the number working in the kitchen but it was family and we were ok with tight quarters. We ate all meals at home and appreciated the outdoor bar top and seating. The pool was wonderful and great for lively kids!! I would stay here again if traveling with a big group. Thanks

Well equipped house for large family group

Our multi-generational group of 8 adults and 10 children recently stayed at this house that is well-equipped for handling such large groups. The location is on a steep hill in a quiet residential neighbourhood and although it is close to a main road, it is situated well below the road and the noise doesn't carry. There is no access to the main road from the street either. The large pool and the hot tub were big hits with young and old. The house was one of the best equipped that we have stayed in in terms of kitchen equipment. The only suggestion would be to get some more plastic tumblers since glass is not allowed on the pool deck. We bought some disposable ones. The layout of the house is a bit different given that all but a few of the rooms are in a separate building on the other side of the garage and then there is a large pool house with very nice ensuite. However, everyone had a bed without using any couches. There is a children's room with two sets of bunkbeds with doubles on bottom and singles on top. This was great for six of the more independent cousins. A well-stocked chest of pools toys and some snorkels and masks was beside the pool. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived. We did have a few maintenance issues, but they were all taken care of quickly by the owners. I would recommend this location and house for large groups such as ours.

Disappointing

This rental was a huge disappointment. We got conflicting messages about the entry code, so had trouble getting in. The king bed we slept in sounded like two balloons rubbing together every time one or the other of us moved. That got funny, eventually. The floors inside the house were filthy, even though the owner required us to not wear shoes in the house. The bottoms of our feet were black, all the time. I had to wash my feet before going to bed each night. Yuk. We could only get one TV to work. There are multiple controllers and devices but no instructions. The bedroom by the pool rarely had hot water. Apparently the hot water there is solar -- who knew? The dryer needed to be restarted again and again or didn't work at all. What's the point of a washer with no dryer? The cockroaches were enormous and ubiquitous at night, making it unpleasant to sit outside in the evening, where the only dining table was to be found. We ate quickly, with our feet in the air. The string of lights around the property were supposed to be off at night (the neighbors complained) but their timers didn't work. We ended up just unplugging them after a testy note from the owner. The "extra" gas bomb was empty. We bought a new one. The grill is on its last legs, but we used it anyway. We were only 6, so there were enough plates and glasses for us, but we ran the dishwasher twice a day. If there are more of you, you'll need to buy more glasses. Caveat emptor.

My husband and I, his parents, and his brother's family (including a 3 year old) all stayed in this home at the end of August. The views I'm sharing below are a compilation from all of us. Pros: - location is private with incredible views - large driveway for parking several cars - well-stocked rental - crock pot in the kitchen, coolers in the garage, beach towels, pool toys - Emmy was great to work with. Kind, responsive, and ready to answer questions - my mother and father-in-law really enjoyed the main-house master, and it stayed cool for them - My brother and sister-in-law really enjoyed the master off the pool and it, too, stayed cool for them - Location was great - near beaches, near restaurants, good base of operations Cons - While there is AC, there are limitations to using it that we weren't aware of until we received the rental packet. This portion of my family likes to keep things cool (even chilly!), and there was disappointment about the temperature restrictions. It ultimately worked out, but we wish we had known about the restrictions prior to booking. - On that note, the bedroom my husband and I had was quite warm overnight. We had the queen room in the main house. The two masters, with AC units in the rooms stayed cool (as mentioned above), but our room did not have that and therefore really overheated at night. There is a ceiling fan, which we used, but it simply wasn't enough. I would recommend at least adding a standing fan to this room. - There were more laundry requirements than we are used to, and we than we would prefer. Again, we weren't aware of this until we received the rental packet. We do understand that this home is a good value, and in order to keep it that way the renters need to take on some of the 'chores'. It wasn't awful, just a bit of bummer to end a wonderful trip with laundry. We couldn't do a last morning in the pool or hot tub. I would recommend offering an optional service to have the beds stripped, and sheets and towels washed for an additional charge. That way, people who want to be totally chore-free on vacation can, but those who appreciate the value and don't mind a few loads of laundry aren't obligated to pay more. - None of the window shades offer true privacy. This caused some awkwardness with different family members being out and active at different times. In summary, we all had a great time. It is Hawaii, after all. The home worked great with a just a few quirks. The sunset views are great.

Very run down - quality of a Motel 6

The view is spectacular!! Also, being at the end of a street with no neighbors directly near us was ideal for the privacy our group was seeking. That is however the only good things we had to say about this house. It is majorly lacking in quality of care and it shows. The property appeared clean inside; however, the trash and debris all over the front entrance and pool deck area was concerning on the quality of cleanliness on the inside - and the cockroaches confirmed that. There were zero pillowcases on any of the pillows, although thankfully there were a ton of pillows and once we called we were granted access to the linen closet to put pillowcases on our pillows ourselves. The house had hardly any hangers - 2-5 per room. We ended up purchasing some ourselves and leaving them there. The ad states you provide intial amenities however that is a joke. The amenities that were provided were items left from previous guests. Half full bottles of body wash, no bar soap in any bathrooms, some showers had half full shampoo, some had half full conditioners but none of them had both. There was no clorine tabs left for the hot tub. When we called a guy showed up and put some in the floater but didn't leave us any extra so we ran out. 11 people using the hot tub many times a day went through the initial supply. The pool deck chairs are run down and broken. The deck furniture was broken and actually cut one of our friends with a nail that was sticking out. The cushions on all the chairs were equal to sitting on a towel as there was no more cushion left. The outdoor kitchen pictured in the listing was non-existent and appeared to have been ripped out a long time ago; covered cheaply and poorly with partical board. The check-in instructions stated we would have access to the garage - which we did not. Trash all around the hot tub and the landscaping. Many broken items in each of the rooms that according to the "guest book" at the house have been broken for quite some time. The private guest suite had broken drawers in the dressers, a horribly filthy shower head, no remote for the TV so we were unable to use it, and misc paperwork and crap in the office drawers. All of the beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. The large dining room table was very nice. The kitchen was moderately stocked but lacked any decent cooking pans or pots - we actually went and bought our own. For the price of this house the quality was no better than staying at a Motel 6.

Family Reunion Accommodations

We had 20 family members and there was plenty of room, kitchen was well stocked with cooking and eating supplies, and the pool was amazing. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. The view was gorgeous and the house was kind of secluded with plenty of parking. Management responded to minor concerns quickly. Overall a great experience.

Family reunion

Wonderful pool with lots of pool toys and several pleasant sitting and dining areas. Comfortable living room and great kitchen. Minor maintenance problems were quickly taken care of when we reported them. Some mattresses need to be replaced. Everyone had a great time.

Great week!!!

Overall, our stay at this property was amazing! My husband and I got married in Hawaii and stayed at this house for 7 nights along with 11 family members and friends. It was very adequate in size for our group of 13. The pool was awesome to have. The pool cleaner didn't bother us, we named him Dave and he was a source of entertainment. The rooms were nice and everything was very clean. Only issues we had was the group that was in the house before us had A LOT of garbage that filled 4 large bin and bags of garbage were even on the drive way. Critters got into it 3 times so we had to pick up someone else's garbage multiple times before the trash company picked it up. There were a few minor things in the house that could use some sprucing up, but nothing that affected our stay. Overall was a very good stay!! I definitely recommend.

Adult TEAM GROUP

Aloha! We all had an amazing stay at your property. The views were killer! The pool was always nice to jump in/out when we wanted to. The hot tub wasnt as hot though? Not sure if it was really working or not. However everything met our expectations and decent amount of room for everyone to sleep. However because we were a bigger group we could fit only 1-2 people per bed. A few people ended up sleeping on the couch/floor to be more comfortable but otherwise all worked out well! Nice big kitchen, outdoor seating to dine with the group and great place to hold a team meeting night before the big event. Mahalo for hosting and hopefully we will be back in the near future. I had been working in Silicon Valley for over 25 years and worked as a software engineer and entrepreneur.  I founded several startup companies in Silicon Valley, built several successful businesses, and pursued my entrepreneurial dreams there.   I loved living in California and still consider it my "Home on the Mainland."

 My lifelong dream has always been to live in Hawaii - paradise on earth.  My first truly memorable experience in Hawaii was my first vacation in Hawaii. I visited each of the Hawaii islands. I fell in love with Kona.  The Big Island is the best.  There is so much to do here, with crystal clear water for snorkeling, rainforests, waterfalls, and volcanoes to explore, and mountains that almost reach the stars.

Besides high tech, one of my lifelong interests has been real estate. I love exploring the properties in every destination I visit. Combining my love for Hawaii and homes, I now own 5 beautiful vacation rental houses.

I have put much effort into every house to make them as comfortable and welcoming as your own home.  I use the latest technologies in the rental houses, including a smart lock, a comprehensive customized online welcome book for each guest, and much more. 

I built the best team which is responsible and responsive to your inquiries and needs.   We live close to all of our rental houses, we are always available for our guests.   We do our best to provide the best services.

Our home overlooks the town of Kailua-Kona and the beautiful ocean bay. The private pool area is a great lofty space to lounge at and enjoy the sunset or starlit views. The two most popular beaches in Kona are both only within 1 mile of the house! 2 minutes away (driving) is Ali'i Drive: hub for downtown Kona restaurants, coffee shops, farmer's market, and souvenir shops.
