Birthday long weekend
This great cottage had all the things we needed for a holiday with my elderly parents. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms were just what we needed. The location was fabulous just a short walk one way to the garden centre / Church and the other way to the village green.
Lots of local shops and pubs nearby we didn't need to use our car all weekend.

Fantastic cottage in fantastic location
Perfect cottage for 4 people in a fantastic central location in Grasmere. Has everything you need, very comfortable, very clean and well maintained. The whole booking process and information provided was first class. My family had a great time and would recommend to anyone. Perfect for rainy days as everything you may require is within 5 minutes walking distance.
Appreciate all the work that goes in to maintaining this fantastic cottage.

Always a pleasure to stay here
We've been staying at Old Baker's Cottage in May/June for the past 15 years. We love its location, character and spaciousness. One problem this time is the pictures on the walls are not properly secured. My partner brushed against one over a heater and 3 of them, in a domino-type effect, fell off the wall, nearly hitting her. They were held onto the wall by tiny pins, totally inadequate given the weight of each large picture. We have left them stacked against the wall. Also, a couple of lights were not working, and I could only find a bulb for one of them.

We are sorry you were not entirely happy with your stay at Old Bakers, as you know we want all of our guests to enjoy their stay and have called you to discuss your comments. Your partner advised that she leaned against one of the pictures which did then fall down, she then took the other 2 pictures off the wall rather than have them fall down. We are sorry you were only able to find one light bulb, had you let us know we would have sent someone out to replace these for you.
