About this property

Large historic barn conversion on smallholding with alpacas, goats and pigs

Centrally located in totally unspoilt Cornish countryside - away from the crowds but only 15-20 minutes from both North and South coasts. A perfect opportunity for a peaceful and relaxing stay with all major tourist attractions within easy reach. This large barn conversion is a Grade II listed building, and believed to have once been a working mill. You can still see evidence of the wagon entrance in the long granite lintels above the downstairs double bedroom. You enter the property into the spacious kitchen/diner with oak kitchen units and farmhouse dining table to seat eight. The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, separate fridge and freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The spectacular lounge is where you’ll really feel the barn’s history. This has with wooden flooring, vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, a low-level door to the garden, TV, Freeview and DVD. The barn has FOUR bedrooms: 1 large double bedroom with en-suite and 2 twins are situated on the ground floor, and a further double with four poster bed and en-suite upstairs. There is also a stylish family bathroom downstairs. Right outside the front door is parking for 2 cars (although we can squeeze a maximum of 3, including any visitors you may have). To the rear of the property is a large secure, private garden with plenty of outdoor seating.

Family man with 4 school-aged kids. Thoroughly enjoying running our family business with my hard-working wife Julia after spending too long in the rat-race. Love travelling - stayed in anything and everything from a tent to a 5 star hotel all over the world. Spent 3.5 years in Texas before moving here and loved every moment when I wasn't working. Still working on losing the trans-Atlantic accent.
