My husband and I couldn't have been happier with the cabin and the beautiful property it sits on.It was so well appointed and immaculate. The attention to detail and potential needs was superb. Chuck, the host was very helpful when we had a little trouble finding our way to the cabin initially. We loved the hiking trails and I only wish we could have stayed longer. I hope to visit again in the near future, as our daughter and her family live nearby!

The cabin was a perfect getaway for me and my husband. It was clean and the bath salts were a wonderful addition to the large tub. We enjoyed the fire pit outside as well. We truly had everything we needed. Thank you!

Happy that you enjoyed your stay in the mountains.
This cabin was the most impressive cabin I have stayed at inside. It is beautifully decorated, with spa like atmosphere. We were only here for overnight but I would highly recommend it if you want an enjoyable out of the way place to stay. I would love to come back someday for a longer stay. It also has easy access to Shenandoah NP.

Thanks Mary, and happy that you guys enjoyed your short stay in the mountains.
This place was entirely magical! If you plan on visiting Shenandoah, do yourself a favor and book here. Chuck was overly accommodating and responds almost immediately. I’ve never stayed anywhere as well furnished for a mountain visit. They thought of everything. I wish I could give you more than 5 stars. Absolutely excellent host! Thank you!

Thanks for staying with us.
The Ridge Cabin was secluded and in a beautiful part of the woods. It was clean and well-appointed. The owner was very communicative and we had all the information we needed for a wonderful, stress-free stay. It was exactly as described on the Vrbo site.
My wife and I escaped from DC to this wonderful oasis in the mountains of Virginia. We loved everything about it -- the gas fireplace in the living room, the eclectic book collection, the hiking trails, and of course the friendly hosts, Chuck and Stu. We didn't have time to visit the plentiful wineries in the region but that will give us an excuse to come back! Zero complaints and would give 10 stars.
We had a fantastic time this weekend. The cabin's kitchen was fully equipped, and the nearby hiking trails and outdoor campfire area were perfect for hanging out and some campfire cooking.Do not plan on any TV or Internet (There is none!), and you are lucky to get one bar of cell service. Cant wait to go back and try a different cabin.

Perfect getaway
I can not speak highly enough about our stay at The Ridge Cabin. It was relaxing, quiet, and peaceful. A perfect getaway from the craziness of life. The cabin itself was beautiful and Chuck provided everything we would need for our stay. Chuck was a fabulous host and got back to us very quickly if we needed anything!
We were 20 minutes from vineyards and Charlottesville. The pool was a great amenity and one of the reasons we booked this specific cabin. Perfect stay!!!!

Thanks for staying with us!
My husband and I were looking for a beautiful place to disconnect and relax for our anniversary. This luxury cabin was absolutely perfect. The kitchen offered us everything we needed to enjoy cooking meals together. The bookshelves, fireplace and numerous places to sit inside and out allowed us to chat, relax and even enjoy a few books. The shower is spacious and the bathroom with the soaker tub is stunning with the view through the 4 beautiful windows. There are so many options for local hikes to enjoy. Note: the listing said that there was WiFi available, but none was present and we had 1 bar of cell service at most.

Thanks for staying with us and glad you enjoyed the cabin.
Sorry about the listing saying there is WiFi available, as it is not in the cabins. It is at my house, and I will try to make that clear in the listing.
Hope you guys come back, and Happy Anniversary!

Perfect! Likely an older cabin, but appears to have been remodeled in the last few years or so. Very nice, very clean, very well equipped. Everything we could want! Except coffee. Bummer.Just kidding. Bring your own! It's not that hard! The place is beautiful and well appointed. The ONLY downside was that there does not appear to be any way to secure both doors from the inside. That bothered us a bit. There are gadgets for making hotel rooms secure which would take care of it, though. The host was great! He emailed good directions and a good map. There is a notebook in the cabin with tons of information about the cabin, and about nearby attractions. Really thorough! The listing does mention mountain views, but that might depend on your definition of, "mountain views". The trees are so thick that you can only get a glimpse of the nearby hills, in one direction (see photo). It's BEAUTIFUL!"Secluded" is right on the money. Yes, there are houses in the area, but you can't see any of them. While outside, I heard a neighbor down the hill yell something, and a short bit of conversation from up the hill, but that was IT. Other than a bird call or two, and the sound of the wind in the trees, it was silent. You could skinny dip in a bucket on the deck and nobody would know. I don't know why you'd want to do that, but you could. :D The roads are not good for winter use! Watch the weather. Don't try it in a lowered car!
