St Mary’s House is an elegant Grade II listed Regency-style town house with Gothic Revival architectural features. The holiday property is approached through two wrought iron gates and overlooks the shared south-facing garden and circular gravelled driveway. Just minutes’ walk from the Penzance promenade and a short stroll to the delightful Morrab Gardens; famous for its banana plants and rare sub-tropical species. Set on three floors with an original staircase and high ceilings the property exudes memories of a bygone era. Penzance is an ideal location for exploring the delights of West Cornwall including the legendary Lands End, the white sand surfing beach at Sennen and the historic town of Marazion with St Michaels Mount rising from the sea like a fairytale castle. The Mount can be reached on foot by causeway at low tide or by small ferry boat at high tide. Marazion attracts birdwatchers from all over the UK to the marshes, a true wildlife haven. Penzance has a long flat promenade, leading past the open-air lido to the busy fishing harbour of Newlyn, one of the leading fishing ports in the country. Newlyn is also famous for its art school and galleries. Continue along the coastal path to the quaint harbour and village of Mousehole.
