Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack and doggy extras. Enclosed outside seating areas. Garden furniture. ¾ acre grounds. Bike store. Off road private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There are seven steps to the lower outside spaces and an unfenced pond in the grounds.. The Garden Flat is situated peacefully off the beaten track in ¾ acre of hilltop gardens with open views across the valley to the sea. It is attached to the owner’s home yet offers privacy and great views. The front of the house and sitting area overlooks Ilsham Valley making it an ideal spot for enjoying a glass of wine or just relaxing in. The property also has a private and covered veranda area overlooking a large pond. There is plenty of outside space to enjoy, along with an enclosed garden in which pets can roam freely.



Located on the boundary of Lincombe Woods, you are within walking distance of Wellswood village shops, woodlands, meadows and beaches. Meadfoot Beach is closest and arguably Torbay’s finest. With its southerly outlook and clean blue waters, it deserves its reputation as one of the region’s best. Wellswood village is a ten-minute woodland walk away (or two minute drive) and is a charming area of Torquay. Everything you need for day-to-day living is here including a pub, small supermarket, ATM, restaurants, cafés, pharmacy, post office, patisserie, salons, barber, wine bar and village pantry amongst others.

The local dog-friendly pub is known for its good food, sunny beer garden and friendly atmosphere. The village is the birthplace of crime writer Agatha Christie, home to Kents Cavern Caves and was where The Gleneagles Hotel inspired John Cleese’s ’Fawlty Towers’. The apartment is a ten-minute drive to the marina, harbour and main Torquay shopping areas. The Garden Flat offers a cosy, warm winter let too, and many guests return to enjoy an off-season ‘English Riviera’ winter break. Beach ¾ mile. Shops, pub and restaurants ½ mile.

The Garden Flat (Moorings) is a very quiet self contained flat within a 19th century property with extensive views across to the sea through the valleys from the lounge and garden area. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms warm. There is a private garden area with a pond and seating (in warmer weather!!). The owner James is on hand if needed but is unobtrusive and lets you get on with your stay. The property is in a hilly area so if intending to do any walking from the property be prepared for some hill climbing. Would we stay here again or recommend to friends. Yes definitely.

Excellent for a break in Torbay. Spectacular views. Owner very friendly and helpful. Very dog friendly. Only down side was the shower, a bit awkward to operate. Would highly recommend this property.

A lovely flat with beautiful views from the decking. It is a dog friendly flat so not recommended if you don't like dogs. We no longer have a dog but did not detect any "doggy smells" and were not put off at all. If you walk to the local pub, The Kents, be prepared for some steep steps although the walk is worth it as it is a lovely pub with good food. As it is a little way out of Torquay be prepared to drive everywhere and pay the parking charges which run in general at £4 for 3 hours. We had a lovely holiday, first week in September, the weather was good. Thanks to James for the nice welcome pack. Overall we would recommend this for a quiet relaxing holiday home.

This view from this flat is breathtaking.

This view from this flat is breathtaking. The flat is clean and has all of the things you need as well as being dog friendly. James was very nice and accomodating. Unfortunately the WIFI signal is not good but that's not going to spoil the holiday. The only thing I will say as not a criticism but a suggestion, is that there could have been things at hand such as hand wash and kitchen cleaner and cloths. All in all, this is a lovely place to stay and I recommend it especially to pet owners.

Beautiful location, and some great walks right on the doorstep. If you are looking for a tranquil getaway or want to explore Torquay this is an excellent place to stay, just remember your walking shoes. The apartments are clean and well appointed. We went with 2 puppies and they were welcomed by everyone. We look forward to staying again. There are also some great dog-friendly beaches close by.
