The cottage is well equipped and comfortable, having an en-suite shower in both bedrooms is a definite bonus!! The central heating is very efficient and our dog loved the garden outside the conservatory. The beds and sofas are very comfortable.
Maggie is a very friendly host with a wealth of local knowledge.

A wonderful Christmas getaway.
A wonderful Christmas getaway. Conservatory not heated but rest of the house was super cozy. Loved having the entrance area for boots and drying the dog. Lovely rural setting with plenty of walks.

This was our eighth visit to Swallows Nest and once again it was absolutely fantastic! You could not meet more friendly and thoughtful hosts. The cottage is so cozy and comfortable, the kitchen is a dream to cook in with the modern hob and dishwasher. The stress of normal life melts away in such a peaceful location. We come here regularly yet still find new things to do and visit such as Sutton Hoo. This is a very special part of the country and Swallows Nest is, in our opinion, the perfect place to experience it.

A very well presented property. Clean and tidy property. Only downside was the curtains separating the bedroom from the bathroom.

Loved our Easter weekend getaway at Swallows Nest! Thanks to Eric and Maggie for making us feel so welcome and for keeping the property so warm and inviting. For us, the peace and quiet of the area was wonderful and allowed us to have a very relaxing time.
You do need to drive to local shops or pubs but that was no issue for us and these amenities are not far away. We brought our dog along and enjoyed long, lazy walks around the nearby fields and paths. The property has a secure garden area in which we were able to let our dog roam, safe and sound.
Overall, I’d heartily recommend Swallows Nest as a great getaway cottage that is dog friendly and located in a peaceful village. I look forward to returning in the near future.
