We regularly stay in Blakeney and really enjoyed our week at Poppies.
We regularly stay in Blakeney and really enjoyed our week at Poppies. The house was very clean and this was reassuring in the current situation, lots of cleaning stuff left and hand sanitiser in bedrooms etc.
It is in a great location next door to the Deli and close to the front. No garden but I did manage to sit outside the kitchen door in the loke and considering how low down the high street it wasn't noisy and really pleasant being so close to the front - an easy walk back.
Good well equipped kitchen with separate dining room. For a 3 bed we found the downstairs had plenty of space and the living room was comfortable. The cottage seems to have been recently painted and is in good condition. Double bed was comfy and the 2 bathrooms had decent showers. The third bedroom is a very small single.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Poppies.

Everything about Poppies was excellent except the beds.
Everything about Poppies was excellent except the beds. Very hard and backache the next day which meant back was bad every day. Beds need quality toppers on the matresses.

Myself and my family thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at the Poppies. The cottage was extremely clean and in perfect condition. There were five of us staying and we had plenty of room to relax and chill out after busy days exploring. The village of Blakeney was beautiful and we found plenty to do around. We will definitely be coming back and I would highly recommend the cottage.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to other couples or families.
The only minor drawback is the lack of dedicated parking but there are plenty of free and paid options located nearby.

An excellent place for a short stay in autumn.
The cottage is spotless and wonderfully cosy. We stayed with our daughter and two grandchildren, aged 2 and 5- their verdict ‘when we come to Norfolk again I want to stay at Poppies’. As far as I am concerned that’s the best recommendation ever!

Exactly what we wanted from a cottage getaway along the coastline.
Exactly what we wanted from a cottage getaway along the coastline. No parking at the cottage itself but loads of other cheap/free options with a 2 minute walk so no issue at all. We’d definitely come back!

Lovely cottage.
Lovely cottage. Well appointed and equipped. Nice location, with great coastal walks from your doorstep. Very short walk to good pub just down the road (white horse).
No parking at the property but car park along the road (free for 30 mins) and directions to free parking in the cottage.
Had a wonderful time here. Thank you.

We have stayed at poppies many times over the years and love it's homeliness and closeness to the sea. There are lots of local walks offering great opportunities to see wildlife of all sorts and plenty of places to visit on foot or by car. We love the natural world and especially like to birdwatch in Norfolk. A walk or drive to Cley is a joy as are the walks to Morston and Stiffkey. A meal at the Moorings is a must if you enjoy simple and beautifully cooked food as we do. The free parking at the village hall is great and feels safe. The cottage has changed over the years and it's recent refurbishments have been done in keeping with its character whilst improving the decor and facilities. We love to stay there and hope to have many more breaks in the coming years.
