Great property & location. Kate & Jon made us feel really welcome & were a great sourcs of information on places to visit. We will definitely come back as a week wasn't long enough to visit all the ppints of interest.
My only moan, is that in the vrbo listing, there was no mention of bedding & towels being provided by the proprietor. This was resolved with a quick message to Kate before we travelled up.
Lovely and cozy place to stay, views were amazing and the accommodation had everything we needed.

This had everything that we needed for a break.
This had everything that we needed for a break. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed and seating were very comfy. The lounge was cold (December stay) so you will need lots of wood for the log burner.

A cosy warm cottage with a well appointed kitchen.
A cosy warm cottage with a well appointed kitchen. It was very clean and the log burner kept us warm. Views from the lounge windows were breathtaking. After dark we were lucky enough to see millions of stars while out with the dog. (When we could get him away from the front of the log burner).
A word of advice - get your logs from the owners at £5 for a large bag of very dry wood which was slow burning and kept us warm as opposed to a net of logs picked up from a garage....damp and still growing moss!
I recommend Allt Maen and we want to be back soon.

Loved our stay in this lovely cottage.
Loved our stay in this lovely cottage. The view from the lounge was stunning and having the real fire was a dream. There is a pub right next door which does nice food. We pretty much hibernated for 4 nights so we didn't explore much else. I would definitely like to come back.
