Boasting a lovely rural setting and spectacular views, this beautifully converted stone barn offers spacious and very comfortable family holiday accommodation as well as fishing on the river in the grounds and walking and bird watching from the door. Lake Bala with its sailing, windsurfing, fishing and narrow gauge steam railway is just a short drive and white water rafting and Snowdonia’s outdoor pursuits are easily accessible. Shop and pub 0.5 miles.

A lovely getaway

We had a lovely stay at Dol Afon. A quiet location but within easy reach of Bala and the lake. It was a great base for us to explore the area. The barn has been lovingly converted and is so spacious. It has everything you need for your stay. Would recommend.

Lovely spacious barn.

Lovely spacious barn. Was very peaceful.Apart from a visit from the lovely owner when we arrived we didn't see anyone else just the sheep and cows greeting us in the mornings. Central for lots of days out. Was very sad to leave.

Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings, very relaxing ,which is what I needed, The owner had left some great welcome gift yum.Kitchen is well supplied and attic bedroom was lovely. Only thing against it was the step to bedrooms was deep (even with the extra low step they had provide) and my mum who is in a awheelchair needed two of us to help her.

Would certainly recommend this cottage.

Would certainly recommend this cottage. We met both owners who were so friendly. The welcome pack was an unexpected treat. The accommodation is a barn conversion so plenty of space for families. The place was clean and well looked after. The village pub does great meals including catering for vegetarians and acts as a local shop but the small town of Bala is just a short drive away as well with all the usual shops and restaurants. This is a great base to get out exploring all that Snowdonia has to offer and we will definitely be booking again in the future.
