We enjoyed a fantastic week at Cuillin View.
We enjoyed a fantastic week at Cuillin View. The cottage is lovely - super clean, very cosy and had all the facilities we needed. The view from the sitting room window is stunning. It is a short drive, or cycle, to Dunvegan for provisions. We enjoyed many local walks and found the cottage to be a good base from which to explore the rest of Skye.

Lovely cottage ideal for a couple with a dog.
Lovely cottage ideal for a couple with a dog. Magnificent scenery from the cottage windows across to coral beach and Dunvegan Castle. Cuillin mountains in the distance on a clear day. Very well equipped and comfortable cottage with log burner. King sized bed in large sized bedroom bathroom with double shower boot room for coats etc handy for drying off the dog after long walks. Only thing some people might find difficult is the single track roads leading to the cottage. The remoteness is what makes it special though. We managed to see most of the island in a week and it is well worth the journey. Skye is uniquely beautiful.

Absolutely stunning view from the cottage and a good location for exploring the area by walking and cycling. Quite a long way to local amenities (which we had anticipated) so it is worth going prepared with food and other supplies. Extremely well equipped cottage with a most helpful owner and caretaker, who were responsive to all queries. A perfect place to get away from the stresses of normal life and recharge the batteries.

Cuillin View is a lovely cottage in a beautiful isolated location, perfect for getting away from it all. The views from the cottage are fantastic. The cottage is small but suits a couple, and is well equipped. It has a chimney in the bedroom which when windy can be a little bit noisy so if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs. One small issue was that the living room floor wasn't completely clean when we arrived (small bit of food on the floor and crumbs by the sofas) and the recycling hadn't been taken out, but it otherwise seemed clean, particularly the bathroom. The Three Chimneys restaurant is less than a ten minute drive. Overall a lovely cottage suited for a couple looking for a cosy private retreat and great views.

It was one of the best places I ever visited and the house made us feel like home, warm welcome, all the possible kitchen instruments you can possibly think, very quiet, a breathtaking view, great size for 2 and Catherine was great in offering advice on how to get there and about the possible road delays and we enjoyed the surroundings a lot. We drove 14 hours each way but it was worth it. Thank you Catherine

The cottage is in a lovely spot looking out over Loch Dunvegan. It's a lovely sanctuary. It is about 7 miles to the nearest shop. But if you take that into account it really doesn't matter as with most of Skye you have come to get away from it all.
