A cosy bolthole for two in the heart of Dartmoor - enjoy a weekend break and an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.. 2 steps to entrance.

Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet
First Floor:
Living room: Freesat, DVD Player, Ipod Dock
Bedroom: Kingsize (5ft) Bed, Freesat. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Initial continental breakfast included. Small sitting-out area. Electric car charging point (at cost). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There are 24/7 CCTV cameras in the front and the back of the property. The property has a natural water supply from a borehole.. With stunning views down the River Dart and over to the ever changing landscape of Dartmoor beyond, Fisherman’s Cottage - The Nook is a detached, traditional granite barn, which has been converted to provide a comfortable and welcoming home from home. Tastefully furnished and well-equipped, the property is ideal for those looking for a quiet and convenient base. The property is located in the heart of the Dartmoor National Park at Dartmeet, one of Dartmoor’s many and varied beauty spots, famous for its ancient clapper bridge. There are some wonderful walks just a short stroll away from your front door along the river and up onto Dartmoor.
During your stay, there is much to see and do. Widecombe-in-the-Moor offers two excellent pubs, serving locally sourced food, the world-famous church known as ’Cathedral on the Moors’, a National Trust shop, post office, gift shops and several tea rooms. Castle Drogo, a National Trust property, is the last castle built in England, and along with many other National Trust properties, is within easy reach. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Dartmoor offers rock tors, wild ponies, exquisite walks, horse riding, fishing, cycling, falconry and golf at Bovey Castle. Within 8 miles are the picturesque villages of Ashburton, Chagford and Moretonhampstead, with historic inns, excellent pubs, tea rooms, antique shops, an independent fishmongery, tennis courts and Miniature Pony Centre. The Eden Project is only an hour’s drive away. Shop 7½ miles, pub and restaurant 5 miles.
