Castle Drogo, a National Trust property, is the last castle built in England, and along with many other National Trust properties, is within easy reach. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Dartmoor offers rock tors, wild ponies, exquisite walks, horse riding, fishing, cycling, falconry and golf at Bovey Castle. Within 8 miles are the picturesque villages of Ashburton, Chagford and Moretonhampstead, with historic inns, excellent pubs, tea rooms, antique shops, an independent fishmongery, tennis courts and Miniature Pony Centre.
