The little cottage was perfectly comfortable and the fenced yard was wonderful for the dogs. Felt fine in the neighborhood and fun to be so close to shopping and great places to eat. Thanks Russell for providing such a nice place to stay!
We loved this little cottage for our Colorado Springs getaway. Perfect size for 2, minutes from everything- great restaurants, hiking, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak, museums in town. The perfect place to stay - clean and charming!!!
This property was wonderful! Very cozy with everything you need. Loved it! Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others. Russell, the host, was an excellent communicator; made our checkin process so easy! The area is amazing: absolutely breath taking with so many options of activities to do and experience. We are already looking forward to a return trip to the area!
We loved staying at this location. Russell was easy to get ahold of before and during the check in process. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely return in the future (maybe even next year). Overall we had a great time and highly recommend this vacation home.
It was very clean and comfortable. We had to come a day earlier than planned due to a health issue and the host was very responsive and worked to let us add a day at the last minute. Nice space for our dog as well. We will use again if available.
Very nice little cottage on West Pikes Peak Ave. Love the little street and everyone’s little front flowery gardens and such…even if they were overgrown a bit. Convenient to the local area attractions and even to Red Rocks Amphitheater. Very quiet street. Thank you.
Overall the house is adequate and is as described. The location is great and close to Old Colorado City and the major highways that get you around the city. The kitchen cookware is old and scratched. The carpet in the small bedroom smells of urine and is very old. The two ceiling fans are dusty and full of cobwebs. There is only one set of sheets for the queen bed. I stayed a month and a second set of sheets would have been nice.
What a cute property! My husband and I along with our 15 year old daughter and our dog really enjoyed our stay weeklong stay here. I was surprised by how close we were to everything we planned to do. The house is minutes from the Pikes Peak Highway, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, and the Seven Falls. Also, it is such a quiet street. We enjoyed sitting on the small porch early and drinking coffee while our dog enjoyed the fenced in yard and greeting all the other dogs walking by.
The space was perfect for thee, but I wouldn't recommend for more than that. Also, there is no central air, just a window unit in the master bedroom. We visited the first week of June so it wasn't too hot but I imagine it would get pretty stuffy in the heat of mid summer.
Lovely stay, would recommend!
I stayed here for a full month in April 2025 with my English bulldog and my cat—and I can honestly say none of us wanted to leave. The house itself is adorable: thoughtfully appointed, cozy without being cramped, and full of those little creature comforts that make you feel like you're being gently hugged by your lodging instead of merely renting it. The neighborhood was lively during the day (in a good way) and surprisingly peaceful in the evenings. Every human I encountered was warm and welcoming—and if my bulldog could write reviews, he'd rave about the fully fenced yard. It only took him about three minutes to decide the yard was his territory, bravely defending it from a parade of very bold rabbits. The location is incredibly convenient—close to everything you could need, but tucked into a spot that still feels like a quiet escape. The hosts were warm, responsive, and genuinely kind—some of those rare people who strike the perfect balance between being available and giving you space. My pets were welcomed, not just tolerated, which makes all the difference when you're traveling with your little crew.Overall, this place felt like a temporary home in the very best sense. I'd stay again in a heartbeat—and if it's ever up for grabs long-term, someone better tackle me before I try to move in permanently. Thanks for an amazing experience!
location is awesome, close to lots of activities. Area is safe and clean. Probably the cleanest neighborhood! The owner was helpful. This house is part of a two house lot. The area is fenced off between the houses which is great for our two dogs. However, to get to the back house, people walk through our rental property. I thought we would have a little more privacy. We always had to double check to make sure the gate was closed and no one was in the yard when we let the dogs out. One day i was outside with the dogs and some bicylists stood outside the fence waiting to get to the backyard water faucets. Very odd.. Cooking was a challenge as there was not enough pots. The small bedroom had no dresser. Even though everything was clean, owner great, with a great location, i cannot recommend this for a longer stay especially with dogs.
My new husband and I loved our stay at this property! Everything was so close by and after driving approx 10 hours, somewhere with little driving was so nice! The house was very cozy and we were obsessed with the little fireplace, it kept the home plenty warm enough for us. The neighborhood is the cutest with the cutest houses if you’re into old super cute homes 🤗 definitely recommend to everyone!
Perfect cottage to relax at. We also enjoyed the great location near many great restaurants and shops, along with the beautiful scenery. Thanks for making our stay in Colorado Springs fantastic!!
This property is a cozy cottage for two. Quite comfortable with everything we needed. Good internet was important to us. Little extras like the super plush bath towels were appreciated.
We stayed 9 nights to help our daughter transition to Colorado College and the house was perfect. Our Aussie enjoyed keeping an eye on the neighborhood from the shaded front porch.
Overall a nice stay.
If you stay during the warm weather months be aware you will not be comfortable.
Only one small window unit in the bedroom.
We hung sheets up to block off the other rooms. The small AC made it bearable in the living room area with the kitchen and 2nd room blocked off
The rental property is well kept and very clean. The bed is nice and comfortable. Laundry room was perfect for feeding our dogs. Internet worked well. There is a lot of outdoor activity in the neighborhood, with people riding bikes, walking dogs and walking or running. I felt safe walking our dogs. There were a couple of speeders on the street, despite signage. I was happy the yard was mowed during our stay. Overall, it was a nice stay.
The property was in a clean, decent area near Old Colorado City. It was exactly as shown and described in listing. The owner was very pleasant and helpful to interact with. The neighborhood was mostly locals and felt safe to walk all the way to the main part of Old Colorado City. Would definitely choose it again.
