We ended our Portugal trip here in Sintra & this location was wonderful!
Within walking distance of many restaurant choices & the train station 1 block away.
Our visit was very brief but the apartment was just what we needed with plenty of room. Exactly as advertised & easy to navigate with street parking right out front.
Thank you for a wonderful finale to our vacation!
A beautiful apartment close to everything in Sintra
It was a great stay, bright and big and walking distance to all attractions. One suggestion is to have mattress foam pads the beds are a bit hard. They had some toys which entertained our daughter and two bathrooms. I would book again.
From check-in to exit we really loved this VRBO. Centrally located, it is very well appointed and not with IKEA furniture. Near the train station and lots of excellent restaurants and a couple good grocery stores. Our hosts were very responsive and stopped by to say hello. Nice touch along with the bottle of welcoming wine. Relatively quiet street not on a main thoroughfare, Good walkable location. Hope to return in future!
We stayed in Sintra for 3 nights and this was a great spot for us. Literally around the corner from the train station and easy walking distance to the National Palace and many, many restaurants, shops, etc.
Space was great for us. It's a pretty busy road in front, so there was a lot of road noise that went pretty late. Was our only issue. No air conditioning but the weather is super nice, so don't really need it. Hosts were great, check-in was easy and they even had a bottle of wine for us when we arrived - very tasty!
We already had our days pretty mapped out, but the did run into Guy and he was super helpful and offered several tips that would have been great if we had more time and/or didn't have our days already planned.
Great stay, great place, and love Sintra - definitely a must if you are in the Lisbon area.
The chalet is wonderful. We loved the location both for being in a historic area and for being in a walkable location. Our host Guy was accomodating and an excellent communicator.
We enjoyed Sintra and it was really nice to take the train from Lisbon and walk a short hill to this location. We saw lots of sights over our 2 day stay and felt that was more relaxing to stay over than single day trip. Montserrate was our favorite. Beautiful walk and lush gardens and less touristy.
My only heads up to fellow travelers is that the street can be noisy (the train was completely fine — it’s pretty quiet). Between the street noises of people and cars, I had a hard time sleeping soundly. And the two double beds are on the street side (our daughter slept in the other room off the street and had no issues). Maybe bring ear plugs and enjoy!
