About this property

Valley Views at Hendohaven

Modern 4 bedroom home with panoramic views of the Mudgee country side and surrounding vineyards. The home is a magnificent open plan homestead with reverse cycle ducted air conditioning and a slow combustion heater for the crisp Mudgee nights. It is fully self contained, comprising a modern kitchen, laundry, bathroom, two living areas with TV/DVD and ensuite off the main bedroom. There are porcelain tiles throughout the living areas while the bedrooms are carpeted. The home is set on several acres and is in a quiet and peaceful location approximately 15 minutes from Mudgee. You can look out on to the speculator views through the day and sit around the outdoor fire pit, gazing at the stars , when the conditions allow for the use of an outdoor open fire.
Note. Property access road is not suitable for sports cars or cars low to the ground.

MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENT IS 2 NIGHTS

Bedroom1- queen size bed, walk in wardrobe, ensuite and double sofa bed.

Lovely short escape with the family

A lovely place to stay for a short escape with the family. Close enough to town to go for dinner, far enough away to watch the stars in peace and quiet. Would highly recommend.

Family weekend

We particularly enjoyed the view! Lighting a fire and watch the sun set was really enjoyable. The house was well equipped for our family get together with our adult children and their partners.

Fabulous Accomodation

The view was so beautiful that we cancelled our dinner plans and stayed in! It was lovely and clean, easy check in and lovely and private. We would definitely stay again. (Be prepared for a dirt road to the house - we were in a 4WD so we were fine!)

Completely idyllic

Relaxing. Evening drinks on the verandah - what a view.

Excellent choice for three couples. Plenty of nooks to get away and have a quiet time. Walks to test your stamina. Everything you need in the house for your stay. Tastefully furnished with good beds. We would recommend Valley View.

Beautiful valley view

Amazing place. Great Host . Howard was very helpful trying to help us calling by calling his friends in Mudgee when we were stuck in the mud. One little advice , you need a 4 wheel drive getting there .

Thank you very much for a great review. We have had record rainfall causing many roads to be washed out and closed while not providing an opportunity to carry out repairs before the next down pour. This is not a standard situation and you don’t always require a 4WD to access the house. We are hoping for a decent summer at which time, this issue can be sorted and put to rest. We hope to welcome you back when you next visit Mudgee.

The View!

Wow! The property is located on top of a hill and you can see Mudgee for days, so picturesque. The house was very clean and exactly as described. This is our second time here and will be back.

Summer Trip

The property and views over the valley was stunning. The access into the property was restricted due to heavy rain however the host communicated this to us prior to arrival. 4WD's are a must after heavy rain.

Valley Views at Grattai

What an awesome view! Property was lovely. Just like a brand new house. Plenty of room for all 8 of us and lots of kitchen gadgets etc, just like you would find at home. Very clean, and neat and tidy. There are lots of kangaroos around and cattle on neighbouring properties. Would definitely stay again.

Valley View stay

Beautiful property with breathtaking views. Will definitely be returning with family and friends. Our check-in and check-out process was very well communicated. We were travelling in two different cars. A sedan and a SUV. The short internal drive up to the property was a bit was a struggle in the sedan due to the condition of the road.

Easter break

Didn’t realise the road to the house was only accessible by dirt roads and lucky it hasn’t been raining so the road was dry but dusty. Otherwise it has a lovely view and serenity. I would suggest to drive an suv because of the dirt roads.

While the house was beautiful and the view. The warning for the terrible road was not there. There should be warning about the road (consisting of just rock at times) is not good. The contact with the host was fantastic but I would suggest warning on the type of cars and fix the road.

ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND

Don't think twice about booking this place - it is perfect! So spacious and tidy with all the facilities you need, but most importantly the most amazing view of the valley and surrounding mountains. Only 15 minutes out of town but you feel like you're in your own little world. Watching the sunset by the firepit was something I'll never forget. After reading the reviews about the roads being a bit iffy for smaller cars I reached out to Howard to check if our little car would be ok and he promptly responded to let us know the roads were looking good. Our drive up was totally fine - no issues whatsoever and so scenic. We were lucky to have a designated driver to go out to the wineries but honestly we were hesitant to even leave, the place is so beautiful. Couldn't recommend more and will hopefully be back!
