Windsors Edge Pokolbin Cottage is located on 125 acres in the heart of the Hunter wine region with magnificent bush and country views over to the stunning Brokenback Range.

The cottage has 2 queen bedrooms sharing a spacious bathroom with shower and large two person spa bath (separate toilet). The light and airy kitchen/diner is equipped with electric stove top (no oven), microwave, Nespresso machine, large fridge/freezer and plenty of dining space. The comfy lounge area has a slow combustion wood fire for those winter months with firewood provided and reverse cycle air-conditioning for all year round comfort. On your private verandah you will find a gas barbeque and outdoor setting to enjoy the view of our resident family of kangaroos whilst enjoying a pre-dinner drink.

Without leaving the estate you can stroll the estate, enjoying the vineyard views and finishing the day with a tasting of some award winning wines at the Ballabourneen cellar door. Eating out is easy, with the renowned Amanda's on the Edge an easy walk from your cottage.

WiFi is currently not available at the property, however please bring your own personal device as there is great Telstra coverage at the Estate.

Windsors Edge Estate consists of 2 x 2 bedrooms cottages, a large 5 bedroom residence, a 4 bedroom homestead (all completely private), a cellar door and the fantastic Amandas on the Edge restaurant, all nestled in their own quiet secluded spot overlooking Rothbury creek and the vineyards.

Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas, and New Year periods require a minimum 3 night stay full weekend rate.

Overall was a fantastic stay. We had a large group spread across the two houses and everyone was very comfortable and really enjoyed the facilities! Kitchen's were well stocked & bedrooms very comfortable. Cellar door & Amanda'as restaurant all a short stroll away, we really had the best family gathering yet!

Convenient and Comfortable Cottage

We had a great stay. The customer service was fantastic and the “check in” process was simple and convenient. The cottage itself was centrally located for all that the area has to offer yet was peaceful, clean and comfortable in keeping with the description/photographs. It was a nice surprise to have well equipped accommodation with a generous stock of household goods like toilet paper, hand soap, detergent etc. The spa-bath, fire and starry skies were highlights. Will stay again.

Amenities. The entire cottage needs a full clean. Bathroom dirty. Wheelbarrow with bag of soil left on veranda. Shower door didn't slide. Cobs webs all over exterior. Leaves at at side sliding door messy. Lipstick stains on wine glass in cupboard. Had to kill cockroach in bedroom.

Great place for the price. All the basics you need for a short stay. Only let down was some cups were not clean with stains still in them (not previously washed) a leaky bathroom tap and lose hinges on the linen press cupboard door. Otherwise good all around.

Stunning property

We had a beautiful girls weekend away for my hens! Was perfect for a hens weekend, so close to all the Hunter has to offer and beautiful enough to relax at the house! Great cooking amenities too! Only downside was that the laundry was locked, luckily we were only staying 2 nights. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great location and facilities

Really enjoyed the stay and hope to come back. The location is central to the vineyards and the cottages offer privacy and a nice outlook. Being able to walk to/from Amanda's on the Edge for dinner was very convenient (the food was great too!). Coffee and tea selection along with having access to a pod machine and plunger is excellent. Supply of a small amount of milk would top it off. While we didn't have our full tribe there, it is great to know the cottage can accommodate a family of five.
