The property was lovely and the owner was extremely helpful and responsive. The home has traditional Puerto Rican vibes and the beach directly across from the property was gorgeous.
Our family stay here was just about perfect! Loved the “we are home “ feel . Really close to everything but at the same time you have your own small paradise with lots of land to enjoy 🙏.
Large property right across the street from the beach. Lots of activities on the property including a large pool. Bathrooms and rooms are a little outdated but in good shape. No A/C but the breeze from the ocean keeps things cool during the evening. The house is from the 50s so its older, but considering all its been through, its in good shape. Lost power on our last night there but this is a common occurrence anywhere you go in PR.

Brenton and his group were very good guests. They were working nearby. I wish they will come back. Thank you for the visit.
Great location. Home needs some upkeep but the pool and location were great. Home has antiquated appliances that mostly work as they should. Maintenance could be better on building ,exterior was decent. Interior was fairly clean but a good coat of paint is needed. Location is great, near the beach. No AC but plenty of fans.

Beautiful place with space for our party of 8—with (lots of) room to spare! Greenery all around, with great breezes through the whole house. Pool was fantastic, with views of the ocean through the trees. We cooked numerous family meals in the nicely apportioned kitchen, and the kids loved the beach (and pool).
This was an excellent vacation home with all amenities you’ll need to reconnect with your love ones. Close to the water and away from the hectic buzz of the city. The only negative was that it is close to the road and at times it could get a bit noisy, specially during the holidays. Other than that it was paradise.

Thank you. I am glad that you enjoyed our place. Your group is welcome back.
Stayed with a group of 13 and I loved that there was SO much space. We all slept comfortably and there was enough bathrooms for everyone. Although there is no AC there were fans throughout the house, there was a nice breeze in the nighttime since the beach was right in front of the house. What I most liked about the stay was feeling the county-side lifestyle, there was also plenty of home appliances throughout the house which was a plus for our group. I hope to stay here again and would recommend this place.
Side note: the host was very attentive and made the experience very accommodating!
The property is very nice. However, you should be prepared for a country like experience far away from everything else. Beautiful beach. Beautiful pool with a beautiful pool room. Host Ligia is reachable and accommodating. Car rental will make the experience better. But you can manage without one.

If you enjoy a nice pool and large yard with a play yard for children this is a great place. The beach is fun for little ones, though it is across a busy street and the beach has a lot of trash. As is noted, it is a 50s house and if you require modern accommodations you will not be happy here. The kitchen is very small, but functional. Legia was responsive and kind. I recommend this house for a family who enjoys being outside and is comfortable in casual accommodations.

Thank you for your review. I appreciate the commentary about the beach, which happens to be a wonderful place. The municipality is responsible for the cleaning. I will contact them to report your commentary. Your group is welcome to come back.

I booked this house at the last minute. My mother recently passed away and wanted to go back home to Puerto Rico to be buried. We needed a house to accommodate our big family and the house fit us perfectly. The best part of the house was being right across the beach. The swimming pool was great entertainment for the kids too. Ligia was quick to respond to any issues we had. Thanks for the stay!
We loved the location and the property. It's close enough to amenities should you need them and far enough away to enjoy the country scenery. The beach across the street was fun as well as the other beaches just down the road. The property is gorgeous. The pool is amazing. Our entire family enjoyed the grill, pool, and waterslide, along with the seesaw and awings. The rooms are very large. Though the house is not "modern" we enjoyed the "original look". There were plenty of cooking utensils and towels. We would return and recommend.

I am glad you have a good time. Welcome to come back!
The place is right across from tide pools which were perfect for little kids and adults alike - 1 minute west, the beach was awesome for kiteboarding - lots of surf and great winds. The pool is awesome for all ages. There’s a couple restaurants down the road that serve awesome deep fried goodness and a wal mart 10 min away for grocery pick up. I HIGHLY recommend the Frances Marie Bakery down the road for breakfast … or lunch or all day really… pastries are good for you. If you head like 20 minutes west there’s an awesome beach and some higher end restaurants near aricebo as well. The only thing I would warn you is that if your wife and kids can’t live without A/C … you might be hearing about it :)
Property located away from all the touristy madness! If you are looking for a rural experience, this would be good option, nothing fancy but just enough amenities to have a good vacation. Small beach right across, could hear sounds of nocturnal creatures and crashing waves especially at night (felt close to nature)
The pool was very clean in the beginning but it got a ton of bugs by day 2 so we did not use it after. ( should be cleaned often)
Owner is extremely responsive and helpful! She even checked on us a few times during our stay to make sure we were okay and safe.
Large open spaces allowed our kids to play different games and that was a major reason we picked this place.
Overall if you are willing to drive 1-2 hours for tourist attractions and then return to some place rural and close to nature, this house will not disappoint!

Thank you for your good review. I am glad that you enjoyed our place. I have no control of the bugs in the pool. The tropical climate has lots of bugs. You could have told me, and we would have taken care of the bugs right away. Your group is welcome to come back. We appreciate guests like you.
After all we have been dealing with the Covid pandemic I wanted to get away and soak in some vitamin D for my 40th Bday. There were a total of 6 of us. The property was beautiful. We enjoyed hanging out on the porch during the day, with the locals driving by with their music playing. And enjoyed hanging out there at night and hear all the Coqui frogs and other animals. Sometimes we saw cows or horses close by and we definitely saw a lot of anoles, salamander looking lizards, and most cool to us, iguanas. We enjoyed the pool when we didn't want to go to the beach that is across the street. Great snorkeling during high tide, and I found some awesome sea glass there too! The beach is a local hangout so it may be "crowded" on the weekends by locals. If we didn't want to go to the beach across the street, there were plenty of beaches up the street. We enjoyed the beaches approx 15 mins west of our property and little further up, the beach next to Arecibo lighthouse. Great surfer watching. Fun waves to play in...just beware of that pull back.
There were only ceiling fans in the bedrooms and kitchen, so we purchased and left 4 box fans to help with air circulation in the common areas (my party is not acclimated to the humidity..it honestly wasn't that bad. Pool, ocean , or shower to cool down). The kitchen and outdoor grill were great for our cooking needs. Lots of space for my party of 6 to spread out.
Property Keeper is not too far, but only speaks spanish (this wasn't an issue for us personally but FYI). We saw her at the local Walmart the next day and said hello in passing. It felt kind of cool to "know" someone in PR. The Owner, Ligia, does speak English, and both had excellent customer service. Ligia was super cool. She even called the last night we were there to check up on us and see how everything went.
Our last night there, there was what we were told a Tropical Depression blow through. It was one of the most intense, but beautiful thunderstorms I've ever seen. We did lose power for about 4 hours, but compared to the property keeper who lives up the street (who lost power til the next morning)...it was fine. We felt safe on property. There's a gate you are welcome to close for more security.
I'd def come back and stay if we ever decide to come back the NW side of Puerto Rico. You will get your local feel at this place. Great for families. There is a playground behind the activities room.

Thank you for visiting. Welcome to come back. Very nice guests.
Cool breezes in an older home by the ocean on the North side of the island
The property was as listed in the ad. It's an older home, no a.c., but has huge windows that invites the cool sea breeze to flow through. I got several bug bites, and Ligia was right on top of it ready to call the exterminator, I seem to have had a allergic reaction, everyone got a few bites, but mine the worst. Bring bug spray. The tide pool at the beach across the street worked perfect for my grandchildren. They loved it...lots of sea glass to be found. And the pool was in good condition, and wonderful...
We really had a great time, Thank you Ligia for sharing your home with us...

Nice private beachfront property, but needs lots updates
We had a group of 12 staying together and spent 6 days at the property. We enjoyed some of the things the property has to offer, but there are also some things about the property that you should be prepare for if you are going to stay here. I will talk about the cons first, then pros:
Cons: There are some basic necessities in the house that could be updated and provided for a more pleasant stay. There is no hot water in the shower, water comes out very little in the shower, and the showerhead doesn’t work. Beds squeaked and bedsheets are very old. There is no blankets so bring your own if you like to sleep under a blanket. We ran out of toilet paper and trash bags after 2 days stay. Called owner and was told emergency supplies provided only then we have to buy our own. It was very inconvenient having to drive back to town and spending 2 hrs at a busy Walmart to get toilet papers and trash bags. Kitchen supplies could use updates, ie. wooden spoons, mortar/pestal, knives. There is no electrical plugs in any of the bathrooms for hair dryers/curlers. Owner advertised the property is 10 acres, but only 1.5 acres is accessible.
Pros: The owner Ligia is very nice, friendly, and responsive. Made our arrival very welcoming. The property is private, clean, spacious, landscape well-maintained. Gated fence yard and driveway; feels safe at night. We enjoyed nightly hangouts at the pool in the backyard. Spacious pool room for party and large group. Plenty of chairs and lounge chairs to use by the pool. Appreciate the grill as we enjoyed grill food every night. The 2 min walk across the street to the beach/lagoon is nice.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. However, for what we paid, I wish we had the basic necessities, ie. hot water, clean beds, toilet paper, that would have made our stay more pleasant and memorable. Will not stay here again.
10 ladies for a birthday beach getaway! We had an amazing time staying at this great property. There was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy all of that the property had to offer, it's very large with a huge pool and many tables all around the property making it a great spot for events. There is a fabulous beach across the street and although the waves were quite rough there were some nice tide pools to hang out in and enjoy the water. The North side of the island is better for surfing, but you could hear the waves while sleeping, a great white noise. We were able to get recommendations on someone to cater for the event, the paella, cake and other food simply made the event. This house is a good hour from San Juan, so you'll need a car and the toll pass. We would definitely come again!

I am sorry the microwave is not working. I will buy a new one. The internet is not down. I will call the internet company tomorrow for technical support. If you would have told me, I would have done so while you were staying in our place.
Thank you for renting from us and you are welcome to come back. I hope that you had a good time with your family.
It was a pleasure to rent this 1950's former sugar cane plantation house from Ligia. She was very responsive to all our questions. Though it is not a fancy resort, it worked out well for our family of 10 who all had bedroom space in the main house. The house was just as pictured on this website. It was on one level with easy access, had a nice big pool in the back yard, lovely grounds with beautiful flowers and coconut trees, horses that were fun to watch in the field next door, and the Atlantic Ocean just steps away across the road. There was a protected beach area for swimming on calm days, which we did not use much as the ocean was quite active while we were there and we were busy doing other things. Thanks, Ligia, for a great stay!
