The Coogee Beach Retreat

This air-conditioned, aesthetic oasis is just far enough back from the cafes, restaurants and beaches to provide a calm environment but near enough to stroll in short minutes to each of them.

Polished floors, stainless steel kitchen, glass tiled bathroom and beautifully appointed features will ensure that you have a restful and enjoyable stay.

There is queen sized bed in each of the two bedrooms and there is plenty of space to spread out and relax in. You can enjoy the light filled, airy attic room or the cool, spacious downstairs back bedroom.

Internet access is provided at the property and included in the quoted tariff.

NB: PLEASE NOTE THAT SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED WITHIN THE APARTMENT OR ANYWHERE ON THE GROUNDS OF THE BUILDING

Buses run from the end of the street that can take you all local attractions - city, Bondi Junction, Fox Studios.........

There is a lovely big high definition smart TV to ensure that you can have the big movie or sport fixes that you need in crystal clear vision.

An important part of The Beach Retreat's appeal is its quiet and aesthetic setting so please don't book the property if you plan to have noisy social gatherings as these will mean the termination of booking.

There is an $120 cleaning fee to ensure that each new guest is greeted with a sparkling, fresh experience......

The apartment is well located near bus stops. Its an easy walk to the beach and downtown Coogee. It was quiet and charming.We love Coogee and it was great to have a place to stay for three weeks.

Jeremy’s place is lovely, with tasteful art and furnishings. Comfortable beds. Away from the bustle of Coogee Beach, but a couple of minutes walk to the bus stop into downtown Sydney.

Place was great location and easy to get too! Everything we needed was in the house. Not very baby friendly but teenager loved the loft! Would definitely stay again when babies are a bit older

The apartment was terrific. Nice and quiet. Friendly neighbours. Jeremy responded immediately when I queried check-in and didn’t make me feel stupid for my mistake!!It was comfortable and we loved the little balcony. Definitely recommend it.

A great option for staying in Coogee

I needed somewhere to crash after a 24hr flight. I wanted to be close to the beach and the coastal walks and restaurants and cafes. This place was quiet and perfect.

Parking is free and time unlimited on the southern side of the street in areas (do note the signage). My suggestion is that if there's not parking space available right out front - you can double park (short term while someone waits with the car) and load / unload then go find a nearby park. 😊

Wonderful Cottage

This cottage is a cozy 2 bed, 1 bath that is within walking distance to shops, restaurants, walking trails, and of course the beach!!! Jeremy, the host, is prompt with responding to inquiries. The check in and check out process is flawless. Would highly recommend and would return again!!

Great Place to Stay in Sydney!

We are so glad we stayed here. Not knowing the area, we lucked out to have been able to see the Coogee Beach area and the beach areas of Randwick in addition to downtown Sydney. The public transport was phenomenal and it was easy to get to/from airport, downtown, and almost anywhere else with the light rail and bus systems. Jeremy was a good host and the house was well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen. Groceries are nearby as well as bottle shops and restaurants. The house itself has a charming cottage style and is nicely tucked away behind landscaping, making it feel like your own private getaway. We feel fortunate to have been able to experience Sydney by staying at Jeremy's VRBO.

Quiet stay close to Coogee Beach

First I'd like to stay that Jeremy is a great host. He is very responsive and helped us shift our booking dates and responded well to any questions or needs. We found the house quiet and full of character. It was in a great location. - close enough to cafes, supermarket, restaurants and the beach, not to mention the beautiful Coogee to Bondi walk. The upstairs bedroom was very sweet and the downstairs one felt quiet and peaceful. There was everything we needed in the kitchen.The house felt in need of a little maintenance but I'm sure Jeremy will take care of that as he seems like a very considerate owner.

Well-located Coogee apartment

I booked this accommodation for my mother- and sister-in-law for their trip to Sydney to visit us from the UK. Location was great - walking distance to beach and shops, though just be mindful that the area is a little hilly. The apartment provided the base that they needed and photos were quite accurate, but they had issues with the cleanliness (kettle was black inside, lipstick marks and grease on glassware, bits of cereal on the floor which had not been vacuumed, and flowers inside were dead). I had to communicate with the host on the day of check-in and he was great to deal with - rapid and thorough. However, the code given for the key box was apparently not correct (the information sent to me displayed an extra digit) which we rectified through guesswork. On a positive note, bedrooms had brand new linens and the entire place had recently been painted. Suggested improvements would be more mirrors for hair and make up, adding an Amazon fire stick to watch Netflix (or even a basic DVD player), and installing a dishwasher to ensure that glassware and crockery are properly cleaned. Overall, a mostly clean and functional, well-located place, but sadly the cleaning service that the owner uses definitely let him down on this occasion.
