Quite a good property for a family stay near Safety Beach. Short drive to the restaurants and other surrounding beaches. While not having air conditioning in every room, having the main powerful unit in kitchen/living area cooled the place down quite well.

We had a nice stay here. It was suitable for us. It was a bit unkept (hard rubbish out the front, overgrown garden, dirty carpets inside). If you are just looking for somewhere to stay, it is a good location.

Lovely getaway!

I definitely recommend this home to anyone seeking accommodation in the Safety Beach area. Silvana was very helpful and quick to reply to messages which was appreciated. The house is comfortable, very clean and well-appointed. A great place for a weekend getaway with friends!

Beach holiday home

Traditional holiday home, bit rusty on the outside but everything very neat and tidy inside. We are quite fit but if you struggle with mobility and stairs may want to look for something else. We were very happy with our stay and the communication with the host.

Upon arrival, the house was not clean. There was dust everywhere, the entire house smelt strongly like wet dog, and the towels provided smelled extremely unpleasant. The mattress protector was covered in dog fur, which was unacceptable and made us feel uncomfortable sleeping there. Overall, the house felt unhygienic and poorly maintained.When we raised these concerns with the owner, we were told the cleaner had to rush because we requested an earlier check-in. While we understand delays can happen, cleanliness should never be compromised, especially when guests are paying to stay in the property.When we informed the owner about the dog fur on the mattress protector, we were asked to wash it ourselves or go to Kmart to buy a new one, with an offer of 20 reimbursement. This is not something guests should be expected to do.Additionally, there was a sheep in the backyard, which was never mentioned in the property description. When questioned, we were told it “sneaks in from the neighbour’s property” and that it wasn’t an issue — however, this should be disclosed beforehand.One of the single beds was also broken, resulting in my husband waking up with back and neck pain.Overall, the experience was very poor. When concerns were raised, we were essentially told that we “get what we pay for” and that we wouldn’t find another place at that price. Perhaps the listing should better reflect the actual condition of the property. I genuinely felt like I was sleeping in filth.

I m sorry that felt that way but we discussed all this in private. I explained that unfortunately I had a new cleaner there ,so somethings things are out of ones control. I understand your concerns about the mattress cover but I could not drive from Melb to supply you with a new one . as you dandef while I was at work. You asked me how much I would pay you to wash it and then you responded negitavely.. As for the sheep on the big block of land which is not ours was far away from you as you had no access to tthe backyard and you were residing upstairs . Sorry for your unpleasant experience but at the end of the day it is a 4 star rating. When you kept messaging me over and over yes I did mention you wouldn't get a caravan only because there was an error with the price advertized. for that price after I apologized over and over again. I wish that 1 night stay hadn't occured

Renovations??? With 2 BRAND NEW bathrooms modern kitchen BRAND NEW decking. BRAND NEW tiling at back area of house it needs renovation? I d say you re probably better suited to a $1000 p/n property which is fully renovated for you. Im really not sure why you booked mine ,you should focus on a brand new one next time at double or triple or quadruple the cost. No point booking a property under $500 if you want it brand new.

Great location, walking distance from the beach. House is as the pictures show. Split system air con in main living area and fans supplied for all bedrooms. We had access to the upstairs level of the property. No bed linen is supplied. Minimal condiments supplied ie coffee sugar tea excellent communication between host. sliding door was hard to lock up , other then that it was a great short stay.

Very old but bathrooms and kitchen wqs clean. Smell was very strong. Among the many things we were disappointed with, the carpet was very stained and dirty and we did not have access to the back yard however it was too hazardous for our dog to go out there. Definitely will not be back.

OK house, but no linen!

Hi, house was pretty much as advertised, except that there were no sheets or pillowslips on the beds. Whilst we were asked to bring towels (and we did so that was fine) we arrived late in the evening to find beds did not have proper linen. we had to sleep with what we had - which was not OK!

The bed collapsed at least six times, in that I put my knee on the mattress and the slats underneath fell in to the floor, hurt my foot. The front door doesn’t slide and can’t be locked from inside. This is an expensive place to stay and personally I could only justify the exorbitant charge if I was there with two families and kids, there is a big kitchen table with uncomfortable chairs and two bathrooms, these things work for a crowd. The couches and tv were the only saving Grace.

Will never stay there again!!!

When we booked for wedding accomodation in July the description of this house said "upstairs only" but did not indicate that there were 18 stairs that ruined our weekend for the later stage MS wheelchair bound Mother of the groom. Upstairs only on a sloping block does not necessarily mean stairs. When we rang STAYZ no other accomodation could be found so we were stuck. The property manager was rude when we eventually made contact with her. Apart from the stairs there were Safety Issues - slipery steps, lifting decking boards, unstable tiling, mould in the showers, powerpoint off the wall, unsafe BBQ and incorrectly installed gas heater outlet fire hazard. Cleanliness - dirty window sills, range hood, aircon top, oven, fridge freezer and sinks and thick dust on skirting boards etc. 20+ cushions, painting and plastic flowers do not make up for some poor fundamentals such as broken fan in bathroom, 1 t-towel only, blinds that do not work, a shower head that does not stay up and an overgrown garden. We have photo evidence of all issues. I hhave never written a negative review before but this was a very unpleasant experience.

For starters Sue would you call a property owner who out of the kindness of her heart REFUNDED some money to you because of your disappointment and complainig. I made it quite clear you could leave and not pay but you chose to stay and stated you would stay for free the whole time. Who s the rude one here.. 95 % of clients have only good things to say of it. Also you only need to read the comments about the property owner to know what you are saying is false. The block is completely flat and thanks for telling me how many stairs there are I never counted. You have exaggerated everything you have mentioned here to the extreme and all you have to do is read the other reviews. At the end of the day it's a 4.3 star rating so it speaks for itself. Next time rent a brand new place as I m sure you must complain in every place you stay. In all my years of accommodating guest you have been the absolute rudest most difficult client so if you wanted to stay again I would never have you anyway. You have lied about everything as you wanted a 100% refund and to still stay there.. The rude one is you and not I. Read the reviews about the property owner. I will not be insulted by you

Relaxing and rejuvenating

Silvanas place was on a prime beach location with plenty of cafes and restaurant in the neighbourhood. The property was spacious and very welcoming .

Why they chose this property

This property will not suit if your after a house like any other, but if you d like to feel your away ( with the trees and mountain views) yet so close to the beach then it s a perfect getaway. Watching daybreak from the living area, balcony is incredibly beautiful with the views of nature directly opposite you. I find it extremely therapeautic. Priceless
