Quiet, private room with own bathroom, kitchenette and outdoor sitting areas. Luxurious king-size bed and cozy indoor sitting area. A large cutflower garden surrounded by trees, with adjacent municipal park trail system in Pacific Northwest rainforest. Minutes away from Victoria airport, Swartz Bay ferries and Washington ferries, and Sidney. 20 km to Butchart Gardens, 30 km to Victoria. Well-stocked kitchenette. Close proximity to beaches, bike path network, and many great restaurants. Cell reception is generally one-bar. Deer often wander up to the house.

A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 30 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 14 to 29 days before check-in. Perfect base for our visit

Bernadette’s property was a great place for my wife and me to use as our base while visiting family in the area. Very clean, quiet and comfortable with some very nice touches. Really appreciated the well stocked tea, coffee and food / snack items. Bernadette was a wonderful host and was readily available to help whenever something was needed. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

Quiet, forested spot near ferries and airport

Scenic, quiet location next to a hiking trail. You do get some noise from people walking above you. You will need a vehicle (no Uber and cabs are expensive). Host was pleasant with good communication.

Enchanting HIdeaway

Bernadette was very hospitable and easy to talk to in renting this Oceanspray Hideaway for the weekend. We loved the elegance of all the features in this suite and the added charm of the wildflowers brought the stay down to earth and peacefully enjoyable. Delightful experience. One of our best stays on the Island, and so close to Sidney. Top notch in our books!

Peaceful wooded setting in wonderful part of Vancouver Island

Bernadette was a very caring and responsive host. The apartment is cozy and well appointed and we enjoyed walking the nearby trails and parks. We chose not to have the breakfasts offered by Bernadette because of our restrictive diets, but if the cookies she bakes are anything to go by, we’d recommend getting her breakfasts! Very handy to have the laundry en-suite, and the heated towel rail makes early mornings so much easier to deal with!

Situated in a semi-rural area surrounded by mature trees, this property is quiet and private. There are nearby hiking trails through the forest, and beaches nearby, yet we're still close enough to the lovely small town of Sidney-by-the-Sea. We have a large cuflower and vegetable garden.
