We bought some outdoor activities with us to supplement the trampoline. Shops walking distance away. Two improvements suggested;1) coffee pods to go with the provided tea bags2) multiple front door keys - the single one provided inadequate for large groups of guests (up to 16)
We spent 2 nights here as a group of 13, the house & grounds are amazing & the beds are so comfortable. The location is an easy walk into town with so much to see & do. Highly recommend.
Eleven friends and I had a lovely stay at Tasma House. The beds were incredibley comfortable and the house itself cosy and interesting. We had a lovely time and all hope to return.
We loved staying at this eclectic property. We were a group of 9 and there was ample room for everyone to be together. The house was well appointed and warm. Would definitely go back again
Had a great weekend in a well fitted out eclectic residence. Plenty of room to spread out in a quiet and tranquil part of Daylesford. Family had a great time.
Owner emailed me well in advance regarding check in and key details. Property was easy to find and in a great locality. Lots of room and the beds were very clean and comfortable. Property itself was very clean. Wouldvewellsuited for a couple of families
Easy process and the host was amazing in answering questions. Even recommended a great small place for dinner( radio springs hotel). It was great food like we were told
Great unique property.Plenty of space for family and friends.Even with bad weather there was so much entertainment inside and outside of the house.Would love to visit again.
This was a fabulous house for catering to the needs of our large group. It is well set up for immense enjoyment. Adrian was prompt to reply to any requests and I highly recommend this property as a wonderful retreat.
Lovely garden and had a lunch in garden on a beautiful day
Good location very quiet and restful
Big kitchen (and would probably help to have a dishwasher and instructions for coffee machine)
This was wonderfully suitable for our family of 16 (3 generations) to gather. Enough room to be together (in the living/dining area or outside) and plenty of space for smaller groups or individuals to have some quiet time. I was impressed that there was plenty of crockery and the BBQ and picnic boxes were great. We loved the personal touches - sheet music, books, paintings etc, and the seasonal decorations. I can't recommend highly enough!

Spacious and a photographic location with a different feel
Spacious clean and a photographic location with a different feel to traditional accommodation.
Gardens and the trampoline provided ample entertainment for the kids.
Could improve on the bathrooms especially in the main building, but not a big deal.

Hi Krishantha, bathrooms in the main house have been upgraded. Thank you for bringing the issue to our attention. It was difficult to find a non booked time to do the required work at first, but COVID provided plenty of down time, and a chance to do the renovations. Regards, Adrian.
We had a riotous family week with nature walks, hikes, garden games, and shady long lunches and diners outside. Shared with the cockatoos , ducks , Australia ravens and lizards. Fabulous. Fun family atmosphere . Thank you

Thank you Elizabeth for bringing your bunch to stay at Tasma House. So good to share country comfort again. Simple pleasures are still the best. Regards, Adrian.
stay was great for family with a few hic ups,
2nd kitchen was a mouse haven. carpets were fusty and lack of fly screens made cooling the house an issue with no aircon.

Very cosy
My large family of 14 plus 3 babies recently stayed for a weekend
at Tasma House, Daylesford.
We had a wonderful time there.
The huge rustic living room/ kitchen is great for a big group.
The property is cosy, comfy and authentic.
The bed linen is crisp and white.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the garden and the in ground trampoline.
Adrian, our host was delightful.
We look forward to returning in the future.”

Thank you Sally, for bringing your extended family to stay. Your kind comments are very much appreciated.
Look to be honest, location was good. No issues with the shower but nothing special, bed itself was comfortable but my room was full of literal junk that I’m not sure why was in there. Could barely move around in my room and if it’s a commercial property then they probably need to remove a lot of what was in there. The amenities were pretty poor. No dishwasher, air con, etc. With the cost of our one stay, they could have put in aircon units in for all the common areas. Really, the cleanliness was pretty bad. I don’t believe any of the upholstered furniture had ever been cleaned, nor the carpet. Which is one thing if it’s a cheap stay, but this was almost 2000 a night and probably not acceptable for the price they charged.

I am sorry to hear that you did not find that Tasma House met your expectations.
I am glad that you found the beds comfortable, the location good, and that you enjoyed unlimited hot water in the bathrooms for your group of 20.
The cost of your stay, between Christmas and New Year, in Daylesford, was less than $100 per head, per night, which includes GST, and Stayz fees, but it seems that this fee has displeased you, and that you needed to voice that displeasure publicly.
“To be honest”, I find your review of Tasma House dismissive, unkind, and certainly not the feedback we generally receive.
The photos on our listing are exactly what is provided. Tasma House has been enjoyed by family groups for 100 years. It is also our home. It is quirky, vintage, rustic, creative, and a unique property, especially loved by children. Each room has been photographed for our listing, without fancy lenses or styled for an advertisement. It’s certainly not for everyone, and there are luckily, many places to choose from across Victoria, if Tasma House does not suit your particular aesthetic.
It is not perfect, precious, commercial, or modern.
It does not have, or advertise air conditioning, but it does have an acre of shaded gardens courtyards, a pond, and covered verandahs for people to enjoy the country air. It is cool in the evenings, [less than 10 degrees] due to being in the Victorian Highlands.
Tasma House does not have a dishwasher, or advertise one. With a group of 20 people, there is great opportunity to share family chores and enjoy time together. My own family have grown up here, and there are no dishwashers by choice.
Old things that you call junk, others may view as treasures, or vintage/nostalgic items mean't to spark memory. Some of the furnishings are old and well loved, but they are definitely cleaned and prepared with care for each group that visits.
Anne you do not mention that your group of 20 people, who stayed for four nights sounded like they were having a lot of fun together. You don't mention the commercial espresso machine , or the in ground trampoline, or the Artist designed and revitalized historic Daylesford guesthouse that has some families coming back many times over the years.
You can’t please everyone I guess, and my wife and I, and our staff certainly try our best to please. I suggest a hotel, motel, or a commercial establishment would suit you and your bunch better in future.
Overall the property met our needs as a large family group and the beds were clean and comfortable. The house was warm but the two separate and smallish lounge rooms makes it difficult for a large group to sit together except in the space adjacent to the kitchen. Surprisingly there was no dishwasher and the deep sinks made washing up a bit of a chore and hard on the back. The house is in a nice location.
