Beautiful place for a family getaway
It felt like we rocked up to a mansion! Lovely big house with plenty of space for everyone, not to mention the stunning views we cannot get enough of. Clean and tidy, communicative owner, we couldn't ask for more.
Easy and spacious family get-away
A well laid out house that easily accommodates a couple of families, with bedrooms that can be cut-off from the entertaining areas. It was perfect for us as we put young children down to sleep and were able to continue socialising on the back patio, or in the lounge room, without being concerned about waking children! Great proximity to a lovely beach.
Retreat by the beach
A great location for a family to get away from it all and yet be near Perth/Fremantle. Five mins from Coles and take aways. The lounge is huge and we enjoyed the space to hang out and take in the views. Beds were super comfortable with awesome sea views from the master. Shame the spa tub in the ensuite wasn't working.
Little palace with a view
we spent three days in this great house and enjoyed our stay to the fullest. The house is very well maintained, tastefully furnished and offers a wonderful view of the beautiful garden and the sea from every terrace. We were also very pleased to have all rooms on both floors at our disposal. After all, the house offers space for 12 people and of course we only used one bedroom and one bathroom. Although the building is already a "senior" it still has the charm of a small palace.
We can warmly recommend this accommodation.
Can't beat this location!
Location and garden of the house are simply breathtaking. From the masterbedroom (the bed was very comfortable and cozy) you can enjoy the sunsets with an amazing view of the sea. The kitchen and bbq area downstairs are spacious and it's fun to just hang out at the house and cook with the family. During our visit the weather was quite bad and it was pretty cold - ouside as well as inside. Fortunately there was a heater in the living room downstairs but the rest of the house was quite chilly. So just pack an extra sweater and long pants if you expect cooler temperatures.
Be aware: we had quite an uncomfortable encounter with a dugite (Australian brown snake, highly venomous) on the private path that leads to the beautiful beach. If you use it, you might want to wear long pants and sneakers.
Oceana Sunset is a very spacious and comfortable accomodation close to Perth city. We spent 3 nights there and had a wonderful time there with our big family of 11. Host was great and the dedicated handyman was available to help us out when the electricity tripped at night. Will definitely recommend this property to those looking for a beatiful home in West Australia.
RESTAURANTS & SHOPS
Within a 2 minute drive or a 10-minute walk from the house is the Drop Inn Tavern, which is the closest bar/restaurant to Oceana Sunset. It has a relaxing atmosphere, friendly service, home-style meals and great locally brewed, craft beer all within an easy drive or walk.
On the opposite side of the road from the Drop Inn Tavern there is a convenience store / delicatessen, bottle (alcohol) shop, a great local butcher selling quality meat products, hairdresser and various take away restaurants including a choice of: Indian Curry, Fish & Chips, The Master Pasta Spaghetti Bar, Canton Wok Chinese etc.
Within 5 minutes’ drive of Oceana Sunset, is the Warnbro Fair Shopping Centre, which includes: Coles & Woolworths supermarkets and a Big W department store, in addition to numerous other specialty stores.
Oceana Sunset is only 38 minutes by train to the Perth CBD from the Warnbro Train Station which is a 7 minute drive from the property.
