STARFISH APARTMENT is located within BLUEHAVEN BEACH RETREAT and can accommodate up to 6 persons.
It is a stunning contemporary design holiday retreat consisting of two luxury apartments, SEAGULL and STARFISH, interconnected to form BLUEHAVEN BEACH RETREAT (for up to 14 persons). Or the apartments can be booked individually - both apartments are quite separate with their own entries and security systems.
STARFISH APARTMENT is available for short term (min 2 nights) or longer stays. There are 2 parking spaces available at the rear of the property for guests. BOOKING REQUESTS may be made direct from this website booking platform.
STARFISH has 3 bedrooms catering for up to 6 persons and is located at ground level.
The other apartment, SEAGULL, occupies the upper and mezzanine levels and has 4 bedrooms that can accommodate a maximum of 8 persons. (For bookings for SEAGULL, please search via this booking platform for 'Seagull Apartment Rockingham Western Australia').
STARFISH is fully equipped and furnished. It has its own independent entry, security system, and direct access to ground level gardens/yard space.
Sleeping accommodation in STARFISH comprises: > Main bedroom with walk-in-robe and private ensuite bathroom and WC; > 2nd and 3rd bedrooms, each with built-in robes. These bedrooms are adjacent to the main bathroom and (separate) WC toilet. (Refer 'Accommodation Specifics' below for further information)
The apartment also contains a spacious lounge and dining area with a large balcony terrace and fully-equipped designer kitchen (all fronting the ocean), rear lounge and games room, and a separate laundry with its own external drying court.
With an expansive north-facing balcony deck, the apartment can be completely opened up via large bifold doors to flood the huge living area with light, air, and the sounds of the sea.
Internally the décor has been carefully selected to complement the muted colours and textures of the beach sands immediately beyond. Externally the colours reflect the vibrant blue of the ocean. Its clean lines, exterior use of weatherboard and limestone and architectural detailing truly represent the classic Australian beach house.
SPECTACULAR BEACHFRONT SETTING
BLUEHAVEN BEACH RETREAT overlooks the sparkling blue waters of Cockburn Sound, Point Peron, and Garden Island beyond. Spectacular 180 degree panoramic views of the ocean are enjoyed from each apartment.
With only the Esplanade road and beach boardwalk separating you from the idyllic Palm Beach, this is an absolute waterfront location - walk some 50m from the front gate and you'll be standing in the ocean!
The beach is a winner of the Best Beach award in Western Australia; it is sandy white and the water sparkling clear. With calm water, it is exceptionally safe for swimming. Do not be disturbed by the occasional pod of dolphins that may swim by - they are the locals here and are very friendly!
Enjoy a wonderful holiday or retreat at this fabulous location or, if you have to work or travel into Perth, you can commute easily by train direct to the Perth CBD and return for relaxing evenings by the ocean!
STARFISH is fabulous for romantic getaways, 'time-out' holidays, family/friends group gatherings, book clubs, yoga retreats and for corporate/community stays. As this is an executive-standard 'retreat', school leaver groups and/or unaccompanied minors groups, weddings (including pre/post events) and any large or potentially noisy party event are not permitted.
ACCOMMODATION SPECIFICS
STARFISH can accommodate a maximum of 6 persons - up to 2 persons each in 3 x bedrooms. There are some some helpful additional features to assist older infirm persons or those with walking difficulties.
The Master Bedroom has 1 x King-size bed which can be split into 2 x twin king singles. It has its own walk-in robe and private ensuite bathroom (with WC). This bedroom has aids which can assist those with disability or mobility issues; one of the single beds has an electric recliner function and in the ensuite bathroom, wall-mounted grab rails are provided in the shower compartment and adjacent to the WC.
The other 2 Bedrooms each have built-in robes and beds that can be configured as either 1 x King-size bed or 2 x single beds, as required.

It was a beautiful location and most of the property was well maintained and clean, however it had a very strong dog and wee smell. We had to have the doors open the whole time we were there.

Kristyn we are very sorry to about the smell and will investigate immediately. We were unaware of any problems until your review. If you had alerted us when you arrived we could have moved you upstairs. We do not allow pets so will find out what caused your discomfort and have it rectified.
Great location with the restaurants and supermarket in walking distanced. It has picture perfect waterfront views and was clean and tidy! Perfect in winter, would love to return in summer to enjoy sunsets on the balcony!
Beautiful view. Great location - was only a two-minute walk to Jetty area to grab a coffee or a bite to eat. The pool table was an absolute bonus! Kept the teens busy for hours.
This is our twelfth year staying at this property for our girls' getaway. Fabulous place. Excellent all round. Hosts are wonderful people and very easy to communicate with.

The house is stunning! We loved our stay. I did find it a bit hard to get into- pulling off the main road to a closed gate and no real space to park/open the gate. We did rent both houses so the multiple alarms and keys was a bit trying. But honestly the sty was excellent.
Had a fantastic holiday here. Could not have been any better. Location of house best in Rockingham views amazing. Beach amazing and short stroll to restaurants. Lovely owners will stay here again 👌

Was a great stay. Second night a little disturbed by upstairs guests however location great.
First night we had the property to ourselves with just my partner and I and second night had guests upstairs that were a little noisy and on the front lawn whilst we were eating/ no parking bays for us however all in all amazing location and stay. Great history in house also Thankyou! Can’t wait to stay again however will book both levels next time.

Chelsea I am sorry the guests upstairs were a little noisy and left no room for you to park. You can fit 4 cars easily on the property and they should have used 2 only. It is unfortunate you did not contact Grayam or myself as would have contacted the other guests and requested they follow the house rules.

A picturesque location, comfortable home away from home.
Our experience was perfect except the upstairs apartments accommodated a wedding party whose visitors ie camera man, makeup, etc walked freely into our apartment accidentally x 3 times. They parked us in without consultation but we didn’t complain as it a was a wedding preparation group I’m assuming was stressful enough.

Great for chilling out
Three days spent with siblings and partners to catch up outside of our busy lives.
Very chilled, great views, great for walks along the beach and close proximity to cafés etc.
The property was lovely but does need replacing of some things due to wear and tear eg rusted shower caddies, water filter did not work.
But still recommend this property.

Great location. Ideal bed set up for friends as there are lots of single beds. Well equipped kitchen. A big issue was the cleanliness. Chose not to use the bbq as it was really dirty. Needed to wash the dishes prior to using them as there was quite a bit of dried food left on them. In several of the kitchen cupboards, there was a significant amount of insect droppings. Owner responded by email to complaints in a timely manner.
