We had a wonderful multi generational, family long weekend at the Plainfield House. The house was spacious and kitchen was well stocked (even with coffee which was a pleasant surprise!). Grounds were beautiful, and we enjoyed a lovely camp fire every night as we had perfect weather. The host was very responsive, and the house was in a great location for lots of hiking. Would highly recommend for families. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect Berkshire getaway!

We had a great week at the Plainfield House. Perfect for our family of 6! Daytime adventures chasing waterfalls and pond adventures, evening fires outside and games and puzzles inside. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay out of the way in the Berkshires!

Privacy near woods and pond!

We loved our stay! Hiking in the morning right outside the back door, sitting by the cozy fire when it poured rain, and cooking in the well stocked kitchen were highlights. There was 9 of us ( including one very happy pup) and it never felt cramped. Would happily book again next time we are in the area!

Excellent place for a quiet getaway

A group of 6 of us stayed for a long weekend for a quiet getaway playing board games. The place is well set up for these kinds of activities with several good hangout areas. The property manager was very communicative and accommodating. It's definitely in an isolated area, which was exactly what we were looking for!

The sponges are changed often and new ones located along with all the other paper supplies on the stairs to the basement. We have spare blankets in the living room chest, the bathrooms closet, as well as in the guest supply closet in the upstairs hallway near the backups fans and space heaters.

New Year’s Eve stay

As six adults and three babies, we had a wonderful stay! The house was the perfect size with a comfortable couch and beds. The rooms were spacious as well as the bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was clean. I would definitely recommend this home to families or groups with kids.

Perfect quiet location with beautiful lake and trail access

Perry was awesome and easy to connect with. Beds were all very comfortable and there are 2 large bathrooms easy to share with a big family. Everything is labeled in the house and it makes it so easy to do everything. We will look forward to staying here in the future!

Great house, beautiful location

House was perfect for an extended family gathering. Everything was clean and the house is very well equipped for cooking and outdoor activities. Proximity to hiking trails and cross-country skiing was great. Perry was very communicative and sent helpful information before arrival. Would definitely rent again.

Terrific peaceful getaway

This was our 2nd visit to this property and once again, it exceeded our expectations. Clean and spacious in a peaceful, quiet setting. Perry is always quick to respond to any of our concerns. No issues with check-in. Home is extreamly comfortable for a group of 7. We will definitely return!

Great, Quick Stay

Great, clean house. Close to Berkshire East for skiing. Nicely stocked kitchen and we loved the fireplace and ample wood. The exterior of the house has a great gazebo, pond and beautiful grounds. While we there in winter, we did not get to take advantage of all there was to do, so we will be coming back this summer with our young kids!
