Welcome to Lulu’s Cottage. A quiet yet convenient location in WNC.

Just a stones throw away from beautiful Lake Tomahawk, Lulu’s Cottage is a wonderful 1960s Cottage that offers guest a relaxing yet convenient stay in Black Mountain NC. Close to restaurants, shopping and breweries, there is something to do for everyone.

1 minute walk to the community tennis courts and Black Mtn pool.

Lake Tomahawk provides a gorgeous 1/2 mile loop perfect for walks or running. Views of the mountains to the North and South.


Enjoy the many shops of Black Mountain or take a 12 minute drive and explore all that Asheville has to offer.

Full size appliances, washer and dryer on site. One queen bed in bedroom and two oversized couches in living room perfect for children. Also provided is a Queen size inflatable mattress for overflow.

Spacious front patio and covered deck area provide quest room to spread out. Easy parking for two vehicles just out front.

Fabulous stay

Perfect location, 20 minute walk to downtown Black Mountain through a friendly neighborhood and 20 minute drive to downtown Asheville. Quiet, private, and clean.

Cozy cottage in convenient location!

Perfect size and amenities for us and our two pups while we helped with the annual Holly Jolly event and holiday parade. Everything is set up well at the house, everything we needed. Host was generous and communicative. We will be back!

Lulu's Perfect Place

Excellent place today. Perfectly sirujyst off lake Tomahawk and walking distance to downtown. Will stay again when I visit and recommend to anyone.

Loved Lulu's Cottage!

This was our 6th stay at Lulu’s. Wally, our host, is always friendly & helpful. We love going back to our “home away from home”. It’s a great location - close to Tomahawk Lake & a short drive to downtown.

Another pleasant stay

Enjoyed Lulu's again...can't beat the location particularly proximity to the lake for an enjoyable saunter with the pups. Wally and Virginia are consummate hosts who care about their guests and their comfort. We'll be back.

Peaceful Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Lulu’s cottage. We frequent Black Mountain and loved the location and the cottage itself. All the amenities you need. The host was easy to reach and very responsive with any suggestions. Highly recommend.

The property is on an absolutely beautiful setting, close to activities, and very close to the quaint black mountain downtown. The owner was very easy to communicate with, the property was very clean and comfortable, and are only wish is that we could have stayed longer!

Fantastic Cottage

We loved our stay at Lulu’s cottage. It’s the perfect size and has everything you need and more. The location cannot be beat. We loved walking to Lake Tomahawk every day and the very short drive into downtown Black Mountain. This is a great little cottage that is very private and peaceful. Very pet friendly and quiet. Would definitely come back.

Best place we could have stayed!

Lulu's Cottage is a lovely place completely decked out with everything we could possibly need! We had multiple dinners outdoors with adult children and grandchildren, ages 2-11. Walks and playing at the park at Lake Tomahawk across the street, plus lots of trips to everywhere we wanted to visit. Of course, dinners at restaurants in Black Mountain and a perfect Chuck Brodsky concert at White Horse made our visit complete. Our hosts and the cottage made everything perfect.

AMAZING HOSTS

I locked myself out by employing the deadbolt and Mr. Wally was right there to save me! Perfect Cottage for Two

The location of LuLu’s Cottage was perfect! It was walkable to downtown Black Mountain, about 1/2 mile. It’s also easy to get to the freeway as well and was about 15-20 minutes to get to Asheville. Often pictures of a property are deceiving, with rooms appearing larger than they are. This was just the opposite. The living room and kitchen were a great size, more than enough for two people. Our Host was very responsive to all of our questions or requests.

Incredible place to stay for a Birthday Weekend

We chose this place to stay by the pictures many months before we visited. It was easy to get to and find groceries, coffee shops, and restaurants. However the kitchen was so nice and well-equipped, we did not want to leave. The bed was comfortable, and nice TV.... I hated to leave. We will come back for sure.
