We absolutely loved Hattie’s Hideaway - the space was super clean, inviting, comfortable and it featured a gorgeous outdoor space with a patio just outside the bedroom. The location is within walking distance of downtown, so we were able to easily get to shops and restaurants without having to worry about parking. Pam was also a wonderful host - great communication and instructions. Her care for the place was noticeable and appreciated. We truly had the best experience and can’t wait to come back!
This little rental was absolutely perfect for our anniversary weekend away. It's tucked away behind a beautiful house on a lovely residential street, and it's walkable to downtown and Lake Tomahawk. The effort the owners put into the water feature and outdoor fireplace, as well as plant life and general ambiance is astounding. I hope to make a return trip each year.
We had such a wonderful stay at Hattie's Hideaway. The cottage is absolutely lovely inside and out. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch and looking at the beautiful yard in the mornings and evenings. Pam was a wonderful host - she keeps the property spotless and anything you might need has already been thoughtfully provided by her in the cottage. We also appreciated being so close to town - we easily were able to walk to restaurants and shops.
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage. It was very comfortable, with access to the beautifully landscaped backyard. Pam was a very gracious hostess. This was a great location with a bakery across the street, 5 minute walk to downtown and short drive to Lake Tomahawk and Black Mountain Golf Club. Also close to the Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway and NC Arboretum which we enjoyed. Would definitely recommend staying here for any Asheville area trip. Black Mountain is a wonderful small town.
Absolutely perfect! We have stayed in many rental properties and this one was truly one of the best. When the house is an integral part of the destination and the main reason you enjoyed the trip then it is a great find. Pam has thought of every detail (backpack with a first aid kit, camp chairs, umbrellas, frosty mugs in the freezer for your beer, picnic basket) and made some excellent dining recommendations during our stay. The house is super clean, cozy, and quiet with a charming outdoor space that included a fireplace and the wood we needed for an evening fire. The deck outside the bedroom and water feature were super relaxing. There is a bakery across the street and everything in town is within walking distance. We fell in love with Black Mountain - great restaurants, live music, shops, hiking only a 10 min drive away in Montreat. We really did not want to leave and are already planning a return trip. Thank you Pam!
An incredible property! It was perfect in every way. Walkable to downtown Black Mountain’s attractions, shopping and dining. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Had a wonderful time at Hattie’sHideaway. It is in a perfect location near downtown Black Mountain and also set back so you feel like you are in the trees. We loved the house set up, everything you would need for your stay! Also the back area has the most beautiful sitting spaces for relaxing and reading your book. Will definitely stay here again!
Beautiful cottage with lovely furnishings. Every room was spotless! It was really refreshing to be able to arrive and immediately relax into what is very clearly a well-cared for space. We loved being able to walk to all of the restaurants and shops in town, and having Four Sisters bakery across the street was wonderful. I’d highly recommend Hattie’s for your Black Mountain getaway.
Amazingly well appointed, clean and amenity packed backyard oasis just a 5 minute walk from the center of Black Mountain. Super clean, high-end linens and furnishings (no Ikea here!) and a mountain hideaway-in-town location. The backyard is "included" in the stay and is well planted with mature rhododendrons & trees, includes a cool water feature and great evening lighting. Quiet and peaceful yet still convenient to everything.
We love Black Mountain and this was a great place to stay at. The cottage is just off downtown and an easy walk to everything. The cottage was well equipped and the owners are very thoughtful of all the details. The backyard is cute and a little oasis to relax at. Highly recommend!
If you’re coming to the area, look no further than this adorable cottage! It was such a treat to stay here and Pam was such a sweet host! The place is immaculate, quiet, peaceful, everything you need! Also within walking distance to town through an adorable neighborhood. Will definitely look to stay here again and highly recommend!!
This place is perfect. Every attention to detail has been made by the host couple. The cottage is beautiful and the back yard amazing with hammock, waterfall, fireplace, and fire flies. We loved it and highly recommend it.
My husband and I enjoyed our getaway to Black Mountain, NC. Our cottage was beautifully appointed with every guest need anticipated. I would give the accommodations more than 5 stars if I could!. Many thanks to our hosts.
We loved Hattie’s Hideaway! It is in a great location for walking the little town. It’s clean and very well appointed with thoughtful amenities. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and waterfall. We will return undoubtedly.
Everything was perfect for our vacation week. The house met all our needs and the backyard became my favorite spot to sit, read, eat, nap and just enjoy nature. The location was so convenient both to downtown and to Lake Tomohawk. We look forward to staying here again. Thank you Pam for your hospitality!
