Why stay in Warburton?
In our opinion the urban sprawl of Melbourne ends well before you reach Warburton, but is only just over an hour’s drive from its centre. It can also be reached by train to Lilydale linking a frequent and regular bus service to Warburton. Warburton sits astride the Yarra River approximately 20 kms from the Upper Yarra Dam (well worth a visit). Walks criss-cross the river or why not take a dip? For other walks the choice is endless ranging from a 15 minute stroll to an all day hike. The Warburton Bicycle Trail “Warby Trail” from Lillydale to Warburton was the old railway line and is now well used by both cyclists and walkers. Should you want to 'ruin' a good walk try the inexpensive and grossly under used yet superb local golf course (club hire available). There are also tennis courts, a bowling green and a sports arena. For those who prefer a swimming pool rather than the Yarra a ten minute drive to Yarra Junction will answer the need. There are numerous cafes and shops and the township is well served with excellent produce from the bakery, butcher and IGA store. Within half an hour’s drive you can reach the summit of Donna Buang, visit the cellar doors of several excellent wineries, take a trip on Puffing Billy, go to the Races at Healesville, take a picnic to the acre Lotus Garden and or merely enjoy a scenic drive through the wooded hills and rolling countryside.

Overall was a great place to stay, plenty of room for 6 of us. Generally clean but inside could do with a little update or small repairs , but was as pictures showed so as expected .

Great spacious house, with two living areas and a games space, suitable for multiple guests! Beautiful location. We loved our stay.
We loved our stay, even extending it by an extra day. Everything was so easy and stress free. Our dogs loved the stay too! Would definitely like to come back!
Azalea House was a perfect base for our family getaway. The cooking facilities were in good working order.2 bathrooms was super helpful. The house was a little bit dusty. The heating worked well. It was nice to have a fire place, and the view was lovely.
The house is lovely and spacious with room for everyone (including the dog!) Very tranquil setting, cosy spaces, and comfortable beds.
Yes the decor is a little tired but the house has plenty of charm and feels welcoming.
We had a wonderful stay!
Nice quiet neighbourhood. The house has a relaxing feel but strong mould smell, once warmed up and aired isn't too bad also needs a note letting others know to turn gas on for hot water and stove. Close to town, with nice little shops
Lovely old house with heaps of bedrooms. Fireplace with wood and paper ready to go, kept us toasty warm. Kookaburras and other native birds surround the property.
