Located at the base of the Canfield Mountain surrounded by old-growth pine and farmlands. We are visited often by some of the local residents of deer, wild turkeys, and other critters. This is a quiet neighborhood close to all amenities. Close by are two major lakes, which afford many opportunities to enjoy water sports, and miles of bicycle trails. The beautiful mountains that invite downhill, cross country skiing, snowboarding, and plenty of hiking trails.

The room was perfect for our needs---very spacious and well equipped with all we needed to have a very comfortable stay. There was even food items in the refrigerator that we were welcomed to use. Wonderful hosts!
Loved our time there. Went for the Ironman and was the perfect place to be. Rhonda and Tom were very nice, let us use their space for setting up the bike and everything. The apartment is lovely, spacious and has all the necessities.
Tom and Rhonda were very warm and welcoming. The space was super clean, comfortable, well stocked with everything, and a nice cool escape from the summer heat! Also the location was very convenient and a wonderful neighborhood.
Tom and Rhonda were very responsive before and during our stay. A very nice couple that offered their help with anything we needed throughout our stay. The rental was clean and in great shape as well as having everything we needed. Our hosts made us feel at home. I would not hesitate to recommend this place for any of our friends or family if traveling thru this beatiful area.

About the host
Hosted by Tom and Rhonda Burns
We moved to hear from Washington state after long careers in Banking and Teaching. Looking for a simpler and quieter way of life. After living for 4 years and going to college in SE Idaho, and a 1/2 way point for relatives and friends Coeur d'Alene was pretty close to what we were looking for. The beauty of the area and weather conditions fit our needs too. We enjoy the water, snow and warm summer nights. We also like to travel and enjoy entertaining. We have two wonderful grandchildren that we believe will keep us busy for years to come. We are avid organic gardeners and love to experiment with new varieties of vegetables, flowers and to challenge the growing seasons with our greenhouse. My husband is a music person who provides us with sounds that keep us grounded. Entertaining has always been a big part of our world so when we saw the opportunity to share our home with traveling folks. So we decided to convert our basement to a wonderful apartment to share with travelers from all walks of life, this seemed the logical sequence of events. So please come visit, stay for a while or longer, share your stories with ours, we can't wait to meet you.
