Gorgeous, serene, quiet property. Close to beaches and airport, but up in the hills where it's cooler, with beautiful landscaping, flowers and birds. Mary was very easy to communicate with and made sure everything was perfect for our stay.
We had a wonderful stay at this home! It was nice and clean and had romantic and cozy vibes. It was central to all the places and activities that we wanted to do. Mary was very communicative throughout the whole process. Definitely recommend!
The cottage was everything the description says it is and we loved it, and Mary was a great host. We unfortunately were visiting after a hurricane and the area was experiencing a power outage, for our entire trip to the island. We stayed the first couple nights in the cottage while we figured out what to do for the rest of our trip and Mary was great about helping us with anything that we needed. We ended up staying somewhere else for the rest of our trip, but we loved the cottage, and under different circumstances we would have stayed there the whole trip. If we ever make it back to the island this is where we will stay.
Best choice by far! Thought the photos were beautiful but nothing compares to the real thing! Absolutely gorgeous in every turn and corner! Couldn't believe the view everyday! Cozy, comfortable, and great location! Can't wait to come back!
Mary was very welcoming and made every effort to make our 2 week stay a delight. The cottage and extensive private tropical gardens make a fantastic retreat.
It’s a gorgeous property that I wish we could have explored. Lodging is perfect with all needed accessories for a day at the beach. Location is very convenient to Kona.
Absolutely picture perfect stay. Impressively decorated and incredibly comfortable cottage with a lot of quiet and privacy. It's only a partial kitchen, but that being said, it's stocked with so many additional appliances that it's easy to cook something simple for yourself if you need to.
The cottage was very private and in a beautiful setting in the rain Forrest, wild pheasants came to visit everyday, Mary was a great hostess, we would stay again and recommend to our family and friends
The host was very helpful when we had questions. This was my first time trying vrbo, my girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. If you're looking for a beautiful and secluded scenery. This is the place to stay, would recommend to friends and family.

The cottage and the property are just magical! The climate is quite different at 2,400 ft elevation - nice and cool. The creatures are fun to find - geckos and coqui frogs! The pheasants visit to say hello. Mary is a gracious host.
We loved everything about our stay and can’t wait to go back. This cottage in the rainforest is absolutely perfect. The property is beautiful and Mary is so helpful. If you want to truly feel like you are on vacation on the Big Island this is the place to stay.
